  • China is growing at a much faster rate of clips economically than the USA, so much so that they've almost caught up. Let's discuss the possibilities of China becoming the next superpower of the world...

1898 was a special year for the United States. It was the year, they won the Spanish American-war, they gained temporary control of Cuba, and a strong influence across nations throughout the globe. It was the start of USA being the superpower nation of the world. Since then they have grown and enjoyed a relatively strong period of being the nation at the top.
However fast forward to 2020, and it’s been over 100 years, of dominance by the United States. However there is a nation that is quietly building it’s economy, it’s power, and it’s influence across the globe and we’re coming to a stage where they’re almost as big as the United States. I’m talking about China of course.
Ok, so let’s look at some hard factual data. The best way to measure, how strong a country is becoming is through GDP growth. Gross domestic product, it basically measures how much a country is producing in any single given year.
Now if we go back over the past 10 or so years. We can see that China’s economy is growing at a much higher rate of knots, compared to the USA’s.
You know in 2019 China had GDP growth of 6.1%, compared to the USA’s 2.3%. That’s almost 3X the amount of growth. (1 please use website listed below)
And these big discrepancies, in terms of economic growth has been going on for more than 30 years, to the point where China is getting within distance of catching up now. The USA’s GDP as per the latest figures is $21.44 trillion dollars compared to China’s $14.14 trillion. This means China are now within $7.3 trillion dollars in nominal GDP of catching up…
But unlikely the USA they’re growing at a faster rate of knots.
This is why you’ve got groups of people predicting that by 2030, China will overtake the USA in terms of total production…
You know, it’s very important to take a step back and look at both countries as a whole…China has a population of around 1.4 billion. The USA’s population is around 330 million. That means china has over 4X the amount of people compared to the USA. Essentially China can have 4 people working for every 1 of USA’s person. This is a huge reason why they are growing at a much higher rate of clips compared to the USA. They just have more manpower.
And it’s the reason why you have people like Elon Musk predicting China’s economy to be at least twice the size of the states.
Musk said “A thing that will feel pretty strange is that the Chinese economy is probably going to be at least twice as big as the United States’ economy, maybe three times,”.
“If you have half the resources of the counterparty then you better be real innovative, if you’re not innovative, you’re going to lose. It would only require getting to a GDP per capita half the size the United States for their economy to be twice the size of ours,”.
At the end of the day China just has more to work with compared to the current superpower the USA. It’s because of all of these resources that they’re able to produce so much and sell a lot more than they need to bring in.
I mean just think about how many times you go to the shop to buy some random item, it could be any item, then you look on the back of it and say’s “made in China”. There’s a reason for that. It’s because China has the manpower and resources to produce all of that.
The U.S tend to have a massive deficit each year in terms of trade. These are figures from 2013 to 2018, so they’re a tad old, but as you can see the exporting is around 3 to 4X less, than then the amount they import (3).
This is because China are so good at producing things, and producing them for cheap prices.
And it’s not just the U.S, that China are good at selling to. It’s all around the world. And basically what this does for China, is it brings them a lot of money…

Good video, but there were a couple of claims made by you that just don't make sense. In any society, capitalism or not, you need govt oversight, otherwise the intrinsic disadvantages of capitalism will prevail. So to say Chinese govt having regulations over businesses will stifle business growth or innovations, or whatever you want to spin, is just wrong. Also when you claim the world doesn't want to see China rise, who is the "world"? I know you mean the five eyes, and let me tell you, their containment policy towards China is not even ideologically based, it's racially based. It's got nothing to do with communism or socialism, coz they know China is neither. China is a pragmatic problem solver, that's what China is. So it will employ whatever tools that fit the problems they are solving. And the five eyes (the Anglo Saxons) can't compete with it. They know very well what they've done to China during the colonial times and they have a strong sense of guilt and fear of revenge. Their sense of racial supremacy, however, made them look down and underestimate the Chinese and now they're in a panic.

If it were manipulated it would be very apparent, and it would hurt China's relatively strong position as a destination for investment, there is neither evidence of, nor an incentive for China to manipulate this data. China is not untethered from the global financial system, which relies heavily on DAILY accurate analysis by ratings agencies to function. This daily data is used along with other economic data to form annual reports and projections. It's not about 'trusting' or 'believing' China as you incorrectly assert repeatedly. I find that the world is talking about China with prejudice, misunderstanding and hostility. But for China, their goal is to stick to its own path. When the world follows the political system of the United States and Britain, what the Chinese want is a different way. They neither oppose the western system nor look down on any country. Politicians in many countries seek political capital by abusing China because they know that after bullying China, when China is angry, the United States will support them, so they are not afraid to offend China. The only thing China can do is endure and continue to do its own things. What China needs is not money or argument, but time

Back in the early 2000s China was still quite under-developed and my visits weren’t exactly pleasant. Fast forward 20 years and life is genuinely good here. I don’t agree with everything the government does but overall they get the job done and people’s lives are improving so much. I can imagine in 30 years, assuming the US fails to sabotage the rise of China, this country will be the most modern and advanced country in the world.
Also the people here are really friendly, intelligent and hardworking. They’re like bees working tirelessly to better their lives and their country. On the contrary, in places like the US, everyone has a sort of overlord mentality simply because they live in the richest military power in the world. They make fun of places like Australia, Canada and the UK, thinking themselves as a de facto emperor of some sort, and that these ally countries can’t do shit without their say, and while I have made some good American friends, my experience overall in America was unpleasant. It’s exactly this kind of mentality that leads to such rampant racism and violence in the US.

For the benefit of every American reading my views - China WILL evolve.
" it does not matter whether it's a white cat or a black cat. If it catches the mouse, it's a good cat '.
This is a level-head statement by Deng Seow Peng, one of China's outstanding President.
The ONLY organisation capable of maintaining an iron discipline in the course of introducing reforms to make China a better nation is the CPC.
Discipline for China means every citizen put aside individual expectations or entitlements and focus on National interests for societal betterment. Then a nation can make progress with someone holding the rudder with a firm hand.
Has it not dawn on the American public mind, 1% of your population owns 99% of your nation's wealth ? The 99% of you provided the slaves - sons, daughters, brothers and fathers to live under a mounta
in of fiscal debt. Or die in endless wars that enrich the 1% even more ?
Look at CNBC TH-cam video - Why is Singapore so rich ?
China is doing The Singapore Transformation - on a HUGE scale. When China's Public Administrators reach or exceed Singapore's renown efficacy, the CPC will certainly evolved to keep in syn with a more progressive society. It might take 10 or it might take 50 years.
All the din about China this and China that is just that - Din.
Singapore did not give a hoot - what US thinks about our TOTALITARIAN Government. We did not advocate that US should adopt our draconian laws. We did not parade our progress towards Good Governance - in your face.
We adopted your best practices and discarded the idealistic but hopeless ones. But we added 1 very important element - DISCIPLINE.
If you ever think we Human beings are nice folks, boy are you in for a surprise ! All too many of us think we are damn smart and we hold lofty views on how (in hindsight) the other chap was stupid and should have done it differently. That is why Singapore's laws require Rapists or Public Vandals be caned by a 5 foot rotan. As one American youth Michael Fay found out the hard way when he was given 6 swishes on his backside for scratching the paintwork of a car.
But that is just a minor part of our orchestra. At the end of the performance ? Singapore has a per capital income higher than USA.
China should exceed our results. Same folks, same DNA.
When The Middle Kingdom has a middle-class that exceeds the population of USA, you can picture the smile on the face of BMW's Chairman and the crestfallen look on GM's CEO for the actions their respective nations took during the Trump era.
    Ditto - Airbus and Boeing.
It took BMW 5 years ( I stand corrected ) to produce their 1 millionth car. China will have 400 millionaires in the near future.
Practically every adult millionaire in China would have owned a BMW's 7 or 8 series and his daughter will hanker for BMW's fashionable 4 series Convertible.
In Swiss Bank's boardrooms, they hang a clock on the wall with a needle that can be moved to point to a "STUPID' scale. But the Stupid ( USA ) description has a bracket where Swiss bankers write the name of a country of their choosing. The Smart ( Germany ) description - is self-explanatory.
Americans loved the word AMAZING. Do they know what the term amazingly-stupid, is ?

China has and will keep growing the largest domestic market. They already produce the majority of consumer goods.
If the world, as you say, is not on board with China’s growth and probable new role, each of these countries will have to be aware that they would have new sources fir products for probably higher prices. At the same time China can just divert these same products into its ever growing domestic market.
On the flip side if the world creates new sanctions or boycott China, their economies and people will greatly suffer as any van by China to their market could collapse or significantly throw any other country back by decades.
The time where it would be realistic to control China is gone. We can collaborate and all benefit or suffer while pointing to false promises of protectionism. Trump tried with zero effect

China is facing Demographic collapse (it's the fastest aging population on Earth, already the average Chinese is older than the average American). China can't buy its way out of it either because it sacrificed profitability for artificially keeping people employed. Those infamous "ghost cities" in China will never be filled, and all of the real estate investments that Chinese citizens made will never see a return. The Evergrande crisis was just the beginning. China may not even exist in its current form in a decade from now.

By the way China's vaunted "Navy" is mostly made up of small coastal ships incapable of traveling more than a thousand miles from China's shore (assuming they're going in a straight line and no one is shooting at them). Despite China's "numbers" of ships, they still have half the total ship tonnage and firepower that the US Navy does. Very few Chinese warships are capable of long distance true Deep Water Navigation. Essentially, China's "numbers" of ships would be like if the US Navy included the US Coast Guard in its ships total count (in which case the US would still outnumber China in warships total).

The only way to compete with Chinas' economy in 10 year from now is to create a one currency system in the whole Americas continent. We must help the central and south americas countries to coordinate a stronger economic and diplomatic relationship. With a strong alliance from Europe and some friendly asian countries we can fend off any aggression from the chinnese.
The caribbean, central ans south amercias will be our greatest allies in 10 years.

It's really not. They have a demographic crisis arising from China's unprecedented low number of newborns being compounded by an elderly population that is ageing faster than ever and the economy / debt burden is unsustainable (29% of the economy is real estate).
