I don’t get these comments that discredit his tunes, every marauda tune is absolutely the best work/tunes I’ve heard like straight tf up. Literally every tune
Marauda needs a break dude... Marauda will forever be a legend in the Tearout scene, but I gotta say something that needs to be said. Marauda is literally burnt out by doing excessive tours, and running his business for either the merch, shows or even for the Malignant Label. Marauda literally canceled half of the Retribution Tour for the sake of his mental health, which is understandable because he had been doing a fk ton of Tours for the past year and a half non stop, such as the Rage Room Tour, Rage Realm Tour, Realm of the damned Tour, Slaughter of Harmony Tour, and The Retribution Tour. On his Instagram story a while back (Early November of 2024) that he wanted to cancel because of his mental health, he literally wanted to go home. His mental health possibly and most likely affected the production on his most recent music Recently his stuff hasn't been the best. Some tracks had either been stitched with other IDs, split the drops in half by making them separate (2 drops), Previously called Collabs but discredit the 2nd artist, many revisioned mixes, repetitive songs structures or poorly mixed. Saying that his mind can't go out of the bounds of creativity because of Touring and business. The songs I'm specifying are "Realm of the Damned" and "Galumph". First drop of realm of the damn is so fkn good, but had to be stitched with another ID that doesn't give the same feeling. When I first heard the track, I was so pumped to hear a switch up, but it was another drop that I've already heard and wasn't so surprised. And also this could've worked better as a SVDDEN DEATH collab but it seems like marauda wanted it as his own instead, for the sake of a solo release. For Galumph, there is 2 other drops that didn't make it into the track, which was strange because he could've used those instead of stitching it with the "Slander Idea" ID, now presumed to be the first drop of the track. The other 2 Unreleased drops I'm talking about, only exist when he performed at San Jose Civic Center on May 5th 2024. Link: th-cam.com/video/HUickUYoKqQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yyNRmqJcx18OH9Be Timestamps: 32:39 & 52:23 These 2 drops are so similar to the 2nd drop of Galumph, why would he stitch a drop from a nearly complete song with another ID and an intro that sounds fairly similar to the opening of Rage Room? The build up is so empty, consist no risers or synths, then it switches to mono which lowers the quality of the track. And I'm still wondering why he released this version as mono yet the leaked version was stereo? The whole track felt so unbalanced. A track that splits a drop for the sake of a 2nd drop is "Untouched By Comfort" which the original ID had both drops together as a single drop, and to be honest it worked alot better than how it is now. And not to mention that the drops are very short, giving very minimal lasting hype and energy, which left some people dissapointed. And also this drop could've worked alot better as another collab with SVDDEN DEATH in the "Spill ur blood" collab with both artist. A track that discredit an artist or wanted as a solo track would be "Olde Gaurde". Used to be a SUBTRONICS collab but the track was slept over for so long, Marauda possibly wanted it as a solo track yet again and removing off the SUBTRONICS tag within the first drop in the full release. On soundcloud, the track "Retribution" went through like 3 different revisions. First revision had 3 drops in total, but the mid section between the 2nd and 3rd drop was extended. Second revision that mid section was shortened. The final revision, he removed the 3rd drop and replaced it with a Reece bass outro that has been used in alot of songs. Showing that he wasn't proud of its song structure or the way he put it together. Speaking of song structures, all songs have a basic structure where it goes from: Short intro, Build up, 16 Bar drop, build up/breif mid section, 16 bar drop (either stitched or copy and pasted) and a outro with a Reece bass or reverb. Of course not all of them are like this, but many are the same, making things quite predictable, nothing really surprising. Some song structures or ideas has been used a couple of times, like the opening of "Realm of the Damned" or "Orphan Of Anguish" (Which I'm actually not disappointed with orphan of anguish). They both have very similar opening of "Avoidable Cause". Another thing that has been used repeatedly are the Reece bass outros, songs that consist this are: Rage Room, Tool Of Delirium, Realm Of The Damned, Hammer Of Blasphemy, Bludgeon, Retribution (New SC ver), No Music, and finally Decadence. Final thing to mention, that he takes demos of already existing songs and create them into separate songs that aren't labeled "VIP". Bludgeon is an example, it once used to be a demo of HEAVE, but then became a separate song. Which is fine but it seems like he did this for the sake of releasing a track. Quote what one commenter said "Feels like a filler track". The track "Demagogue of Oblivion" Could honestly be a VIP version of "Resurgence" but wanted it separate, and I'm not sure why he removed the first drop which was in "The Faceless" Showcase near the end. The only actual VIP he actually released, was the "That Marauda Song VIP", which doesn't sound too bad, as the original song is a hitter. But this VIP was odd. The whole song is the literal same as the original, only difference is that the drops had been shortened and possibly split, and different flow. The new flow wasn't as unique as teh original, only some simplistic tearout patterns. Also the 2nd drop was the same as the first drop, just made it more stutter-y. The "Primal Phantom" and "Crown of Torment" EPs are similar, both having odd mixing which lowers the quality, similar song structures, and very short songs with copy and pasted drops. Only difference is that "Portal Of Sin" was actually pretty decent. That's about all that needed to be said, I'm just stating my opinion and saying what I think people do not see. I'm not insulting him in anyway, I wish him the best by all means. And once again, Marauda will always be a legend.
I love this. I love marauda finding something new! I'm glad he found a new style to go off of instead of what we gotten this past year. Some songs were great, others felt like I've already heard them with the sustains for so many times like in Bludgeon, Hammer of blasphemy, and so forth. Needed something new, and he found it! You rock, my dude!
@@ROAN3 Oops, wrong comment. I do love this new style hes going off of, this album is awesome! But the ones before felt repetitive. Not saying hes repetitive and dry for finding a new style, I really enjoy this change. Realm of the damned would be an example of the criticism I meant because of what he did throughout the song. He didn't do much with it. You get that?
@@mochtedoppelte690 the difference is old marauda/mastadon actually had creative ideas and didnt rerelease whats basically the same song every month under a different name. he had actual innovation and contrasting sound design rather than reusing the same guns, same sustains, same fills, and pretty much the same shitty intro. when people say they miss the old marauda theyre saying they miss creativity and innovation. because theres a huge difference between that and reusing old ideas.
i can tell marauda is trying something new rather than sticking to the same gun bass for every song, very nice!
YOU COOKED AND LEFT NO CRUMBS.
Nice.
This is what I've been waiting for since Mission Ballroom live in 2023
Marauda bringing even more unburned jet fuel to the game, just to give us even more fire
