- Irene and two of her friends never ever imagined their selves living and surviving from a dumpsite. They are widows who have been through the worst especially after the families of their late husbands rejected them. For most part of their lives, the clothes their kids wear and the food they eat has been from the Dandora dumpsite. They wish their husbands were alive to at least shield them from the ridicule they face. The have heard to deal with the daily stench that comes with all the dumping.

I remember some years back my mum used to boil water to make 'ugali ' without knowing where maize flour will come from..She changed the water after boiling for loong and I remember sometimes we just fell asleep just waiting with no hope. Now, am lucky to have a good place I call home and have enough food..May God see these women through and many others who are struggling

It is sad listening to Wanjiku. How does BBI address this? We need a serious conversation about peoples basic lives. In my opinion, we need a law that ensures people are paid something like 5K per month to survive if they have no job. Why should a government pay some people millions and others nothing? That is how to improve Wanjiku not more constituents

Women are very strong and important in our lives they never give up on their children may the lord bless every woman out there ,likes for these amazing mothers
These mothers shud know that there is a God of another chance. I did these jobs for 5 years, 2004 upto 2009. I used to recycle bottles, clean them again, and then I return them to the factory. All that ended na watoto walimaliza school na wako sawa. God is a faithful God. There lives will change with time. They shud put all their hopes in God.

I was raised by a widow and only God knows what we went through yet we had wealthy family members from both sides but yet we suffered but Mungu ni Nani... we're 4 siblings living abroad and my other siblings in Kenya are okay, God really blessed us abundantly. May God really come through for this ladies I am really sorry and sad at the same time.

Hi Lyn, there is a couple that needs help please, they have have triplets, and the wife just delivered triplets too, they are all boys, the condition of the couples us so worse that they ont even have a good environment for new borns, they cant even take care of the kids, please help, cos i know tuko fans are so merciful so if you air this story, these couple will be helped and the new born babies

The struggle is real, I'm a living testimony from Dandora...I know it,coz I have been there too... it's well grandma,weep your tears. it's gonna be just fine.
Please women don't stay in abusive marriage in the name of watoto wasaidike ,those kids suffer too n it affects their future. No child wants to see their mums tears daily. It's better to sleep hungry with your children n there is peace than live in abuse. Inshort watoto pia hukuwa affected. I can testify it all.
It's too painful losing your husband,am just a widow at the age of 29,am passing through hard times,I just wish he is here with me....it's now 3weeks since I burried my husband.....I miss him Soo much 😭😭😭😭
