    Hah a I was in my thirties during the '90s and I'm still wearing a lot of things I bought back then. When people comment on my Mudd jeans and my doc martens. I smile and say they are part of my vintage clothing collection lol

    I’m definitely a teenager of the 90’s and remember most of these brands. 😊💕

    Great tips! I had no clue about banana republic being a safari store, I don't believe I've ever found it in the wild. 🤣 I love random obscure 90s brands the most, the tags were wild and they all have silly names!

    • @ShopFoxburrow

      Sydney Cartwright totally 😂 only rivaled by the weird names and tags of the 70s.

    I think I donated my actual official vintage Nirvana t-shirt and it was a really unusual one and I’ve never seen it again. Back in the day, bands didn’t sell t-shirts in different sizes, they were all size large or extra large. I didn’t like that it was a large so after some years I donated it hahaha. Probably in, like, the year 2000. OH WELL

    Also, I was talking to a friend of mine who still has his jncos, but doesnt wear them. Apparently there is an underground culture of those who never wanted to let them go- some I am sure wear them. And trust me, I let him know if he ever wanted to stop hoarding them I would be happy to buy them all!!

    Anything that has sizing like 9/10 or 11/12, is vintage 90s lol I loved Express back then.
    Those white banana republic shirts with the scene print were everything.
    Still can’t believe the 90s are back....didn’t it just happen or is it just me?

    Oh, you had to go and mention Mad Men. I can't tell you how many years we had a Mad Men Christmas party. OMG! I wore a lot of Limited in the early 90s. I distinctly remember that their high rise shorts were so hot. Fun fact, I worked for Limited Brands (VictoriasSecret.com) in the early 2000s. I have sold so many vintage Express slip dresses. Another hot item from when I was in jr high and high school. We say Cosby sweaters all the time! Ha!! I love Laura Ashley. OMG those bubble suits. When I was 10 I was so excited to get my Laura Ashley bubble suit! I would say Jnco was more the raver culture more than the skater culture. Jnco brand sorta copied what the skaters were doing with oversized jeans. You got me with All that Jazz. Never heard of that brand.

    • @ShopFoxburrow
      @ShopFoxburrow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Super Geeked yeah I think you’re right about raver culture being more associated with Jnco. Hard to rattle off all this stuff on the fly 🤣 I kinda want that Laura Ashley jumpsuit now tho. Like I’d wear it tomorrow hahaha

    I’m so curious about you doll...you’re adorable. But I have 2 quick questions if you’ve got time.
    A. Do you do all your own modeling in your listings on Poshmark?
    B. You have SOO many listings on Poshmark and your a mom and you’re a “TH-camr”. and I’m sure much, much more...where the heck do you find the time??!!?? I’m serious. I was shocked to see how many Poshmark listings you have. And how detailed and cute your listings are!

    • @ShopFoxburrow
      @ShopFoxburrow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I do model all the listings that fit me and I think will sell better when styled on a person :) And right now, honestly, I don't find the time! Usually my older son is in day care, but they are closed permanently now due to Covid. In fall, my older son will go to Kindergarten and my younger will go into daycare. I typically treat it just like a job, just with more flexible hours. If I am paying daycare costs and making substantial money on top of that, it's worth it.

    Great info! And the sweet trip down memory lane. I totally forgot about Banana Republic and their Safari aesthetic! How could I? That was my dream store! I had a couple of pieces I wore for many years that I just loved! And Laura Ashley! My daughter’s whole room was Laura Ashley!

    • @ShopFoxburrow
      @ShopFoxburrow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Banana Republic used to be such quality! Plus what a cool aesthetic...like the modern day Anthropologie with their level of creative merchandising.
      Yesss my sheets as a kid in the 80s were Laura Ashley too! Haha. I think those sell for good money now as well :)

    keep this up? I know its work, you put a lot into this. now a question, I feel like if I knew the when tags said Hong kong, Mexico ( for levi) or Taiwan, r.o.c. and so forth, I might know the year. I thought a class on the history of clothing manufacturing would help with dating. if you needed a vid idea, that would be my dream. thank you for all you do, thanks to Christina for sending me over!

    Totally awesome content! That picture of the girls in pink dresses? I swear I have its twin-my girls and me on Easter In pink dresses! OMG. I have a banana republic jumpsuit in khaki that I wore on my second date with my husband! It's in our dress up box! I put lots of my 90's clothes in there!! Guess it's worth a mint now!! Thrift con is in town this weekend and we are risking the crowd! I'm thinking it will be an educational trip not a sourcing opportunity but I will be looking for laura Ashley dresses! Kswiss-is condition an issue? Should they be mint? Are there some that are modern? I left some at the thrift a whole back-condition was not great. Also video with key words for vintage please! You are amazing!!! Thank you!!! I'm waiting for 80s wedding dresses to come back!!! Got one of those preserved in a box!!! 😂

    • @ShopFoxburrow
      @ShopFoxburrow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes K-Swiss is still making shoes! I've seen pretty beat up 90s ones go for like $30, but if you want the good money, nicer is better. They actually just did a Kswiss X Clueless shoe, it's pretty cute.
      I am so excited by the words Thrift Con haha. I'm going to have to look that up!
      Also, snatch up that Banana republic jumpsuit and sell it!!!!
      Thanks for watching
