As a veteran of the 82nd Airborne, I feel personally attacked that Light Riflemen do not have shock training. I have stopped eating baguettes in protest.
This deck can have some improvement in my opinion. Definitely the Anti-Plane options are quite fragile here and many people will not manage. Hawk PIP III is a great addition to the Upveted Patriot. For that you remove Stingers. Also the Helo Cobra is outclassed in the intended role by Recon variant. You should consider taking Super Cobra for extra SEAD given the heavy Air focus. Other than that, this was a great Crash.
Super Cobra is a must have. Probably 2nd most broken helo in the game after Longbow. Russian helos suck, they take ages to aim and you need to get 2 helos at the same. Neither one can do much solo. Whereas longbow solo can do a lot yes, Super Cobra not so much but you only need a cheap recon helo to help spot stuff.
Nice video. I might argue the F/A-18C is preferable to the the A10 Thunderbolt in team / late game when the AA net is stronger and there are likely more ASFs. It's just more survivable because faster and better ECM.
Would definately dump the Chaparral for the stinger humvee. yeah you ditch out the range but thats what you have the pivads/hawk for but it bumps you up in speed, crazy accuracy and extra shots. Oh and its 30% cheaper.
Can someone explain why the riflemen base is preferable to the riflemen '90 for infantry spam? They have the M113A3 for transport and the 90's come with a much upgraded AT weapon for only 5 points. I get that we want infantry spam at low cost, but the AT4's much better accuracy and AP seem feasible at 15 points. I'd love to hear a counter-argument.
well us infantry are not strong in fighting but their vehicles are. Even those 5 transport spam can overwhelm even the well train shock however you gonna need alot of them and 5 point for better anti tank alone might no be that cost effective with the gun you have ,spam 4 group of 4 stack rifleman with m113 is 240 and rifle 90 is 320 so 80 point cheaper (25 percent cheaper) also this is US general so slot quite limited. however i run with another one with IFV . In short we save extra point to run something eles.
Ahh I wanted to mention Marines. They are decent if you need some allround infantry. Though unless you expect some townfights, you'll be perfectly fine with Riflemen spam.
Why do you think the longbow is the most broken unit in the game out of interest? Because of the fire and forget? In most games I see them they are quite easy to counter.
I’ve personally never had a problem killling longbows if you just keep your transports alive and move them with your tanks when pushing or send them out as a screen with aa when attacking a longbow it will get the job done.

Hey Razz, just getting back into Wargame after a year and surprised to hear that superheavies aren’t must-haves anymore. What’s the reason people are moving away from them?
F/A 18 Hornet, the one with AT missile, is better than the slow thunderbolt meme plane.... imo. Fast, 1000kph, good range on the missile. In, out, done.
Because blue vs blue is also a match up. And I did mention redfor AT (Bumbar), however the key AP values here are 25 and 26 and most of the weapons with these values are found on the NATO side.
No M551 ACAV? A scout tank that can two shot infantry squads seemed like a lot of fun to me. In hindsight I don't see many infantry squads charging across open terrain, without heavier tank support which the M551 ACAV would easily die to. Edit: Also learned the CEV has a minimum range, less than it's effective firing range inside the woods. So it's main gun is useless in the woods.
you need some cheap AA spread around to bait enemy missiles(like some trucks), because your enemy generally will not micro their heli when helo rushing, then use your main AA to take their most expensive helos first using the gap and the chance their helo are auto attacking your cheap units
See, I find that I like to use the MBT-70 for the spam forest role. The 5 HE plus the Autocannon can do great work against infantry and transports. The M1 is fine. But never seem to be that effective and slow at the killing role compared.
Regular infantry spam is not that good, easily stunned and killed by planes, or elite infantries. Unless they got good cover, from other players which is rare in WRD nowadays.
Idk about that. Regular infantry spam works if they have good transport options and proper fire support. Base rifle spam has 3 components. Riflemen, M113A3, and base Abrams/MBT 70. Without any one of these components it is mediocre but combined is brutal in forests. Less good in towns but small towns can be won with riflemen and good mortar play. if you're expecting a big town grind bring Marines or Deltas.

Agreed+bigger maps for teams a-10 is usually seen for 20+ seconds before it’s on target

You would not need to adjust much for team games, and generally I mention picks for bigger games (see the tanks or planes part).

Yes, fire and forget coupled with the 0.2s aim time on helicopters.

no they fulfill a different role and are a lot more self sufficient
regular Riflemen are just there for spam and meatshielding

If I had to guess itd be because they can be countered relatively easily and are a huge investment in a 1v1. They are not very mistake friendly.
