Sept 13, 1951 “ The Big Waiter” Friendship’s ruthless confrontation. Excellent episode 👌 • early in episode listen for the “black lingerie”comment, quite profound . Thanks for the TH-cam post!
Yea , he must have had a bum Lawyer. But before they put him down I bet he worked in the kitchen . Probably the best food they ever saw in the joint 👍🏼 and they talked about it for years to come .love these good old shows 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 thank you for all the work to put them up 👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent program, but I can't believe the killer got the death penalty - and it was carried out without delay. I don't think jurors in today's California would have found him guilty of first-degree murder (executing him) even if it was legal. He killed his buddy because they were both in love with the same woman, it was not a preplanned murder but done in an emotional reaction over losing someone he loved. There would have been a lot more sympathy and understanding for him these days, it happens more often nowadays and more people experience love triangle relationships. She must have been a beautiful woman, but she was a tramp for accepting fancy gifts from one man while dating another man, stringing them both along to satisfy her own needs. I think she was to blame as much as the killer, he should have just left her unless she stopped seeing the other man. Thanks for uploading this.
What I find worse is the way they illegally searched his apartment and vehicle without a warrant just by "being accompanied" by the building manager. Landlords and such cannot consent legally to searches of apartments or hotel rooms. That's basic 4th amendment protections. They must have played fast and loose with 4th amendment in the 50s lol
munstrumridcully I’d rather be back in that era. At least people went to jail. Now you can’t send anyone to jail and if you’re guilty you play the system for years. Plus it seems like they had probable cause. Now we are too PC to do anything
I agree. And you can’t judge this show on today’s standards. California never seems to send anyone to jail. Miranda didn’t come into effect until much later. Today we are so pc that no one is guilty of anything
Question- Does anyone know who plays the wife in this episode? She sounds a hell of a lot like the woman in bandages in that Twilight Zone episode "Eye Of The Beholder". That actress was named Maxine Stuart. Anyone know if it's her?
Maybe the dead man's wife tolerated his infidelity because she had no money of her own and had nowhere to go to live alone! So that might have been an answer to Ben Romero's questioning why the wife just didn't pack up and leave!
Thank you for sharing these OTR programs.
The food sounded wonderful.

Yeah , better call the Coroner. Tell him there’s no big rush, he’s not going anywhere

I was sure that after going through that whole menu, the denouement would've been Friday making some gibe about bread and water.
@@douglasschaden3475 That would have seemed fitting.
Old Joe was quite a smart ass at times .. but they all deserved it 😎
Boy Justice was swift and serious back then.not a lot of repeat offenders.
As it should be 👍🏼 I sure took my lumps before I got straightened out
Very open-minded wife. I'm with Romero, I sure would have left LOL. Luv these two! J and R, a great team.
Hey, where’s my Fatima King-sized cigarette ads? 🤷♂️😉
Commercials were edited out, probably an Armed Forces Radio print
Thanks for that info.
Wish more episodes were without the cigarette ads
@@teresas8173 I have been listening old Johnny Dollar shows..with no commercials 😞I miss them
@@teresas8173 The ads add to the nostalgia. If you don't like the commercials, skip them, but don't remove them.
No cig commercials during this episode

You're creepy. Blaming the woman. The old man was cheating on his wife, but he's not a tramp?

Snow bird .i totally agree . At least back then they could put a dent in crime .. now .... they seem to in courage it 😖
Back then no appeals. So the gas chamber was busy. Like other guy said few repeat offenders.
Well - A cheating husband ran into the wrong man. His best friend.
Two guys end up dead because of a fight over a side chick….
Wow ..no Fatimas 👍🏼
And no NBC chimes?
It must have been one from AFRTS Armed forces Radio they don't have the cigarettes commercials.
Yep “art “ on the wall. pin up girls ... I call it lust
I think the actor misread “arocado” for “avocado.”

The bandaged woman in the Twilight Zone was Donna Douglas (Ellie May Clampett)
@@Cat-rc5bp Donna Douglas played the part out of the bandages.
