Peugeot 106 Rallye S1 - Nearly 9 Years Parked Up

- 106 S1 Rallye sat for nearly 9 years!
Only been in my ownership for a year or so but I purchased as a neglected project and looking back through MOT history it looks to have last been used in 2013!
Video is as I received it..
Non runner (16v swapped)
Lacks an interior
Lacks Rallye wheels
Original plan was to restore but now I've just decided to get it to a tidy roadworthy car - a useable classic

I owned this car from around 2012 until 2019. I took it off the road and dry stored it with the intention of fully restoring it but running a business and a move abroad meant there was no time unfortunately. I hope that it finally gets the treatment it deserves
That's awesome.. was it you I bought it off? I've had it for I think roughly 18 months. I bought it off eBay but I didn't actually meet who I purchased it from because I sent a driver to collect
I sold it to a friend because I needed it gone at very short notice then after that I'm not sure what happened to it, it appears to have been through several different owners in a very short space of time all who seem to have removed parts from it
@@zacrowbotham3258 ah I see.. yeah quite a few bits missing when I got it including the full interior and the Rallye wheels. With it being 16v’d and not having the interior I’ve decided that I won’t be going down the nut and bolt restoration route but instead making it a good honest usable classic. Next owner can always go down that path if they wish. Already got her back on some Rallye wheels and running some shape 👍
Just wondering if when you sold it the car still had the Rallye gearbox fitted?
@@ATX-Automotive yes it did, it was also on s2 rallye steels with toyo r888 tyres and a supersprint group A exhaust system

Looks like its a single plug ecu, engine needs bit tlc least its got the bigger lump vts & a race manifold, rally one's becoming rare now!
I love s1 106s. a clean xsi 1600 would be one of my dream cars. Cool this one has been engine swapped

No real stories behind them, just vehicles I've accumulated over the years. Couple of them I'm just storing for friends but the majority are mine (Rallye, Transit, Hilux etc..)
Would love to see 👀 this run 👌🏼 also that transit 2jz flatbed would like to see that pull up to a few fast cars and gap the shit out them 😂

It did briefly. Although not all that well which I'd imagine is down to old fuel
