Although I was in Orlando for the first two times as a kid in early ‘87 and ‘89, it was another 5 years until I finally got back in ‘94. And I was REALLY into movies. So missing Universal being open by just 1 year and having to wait 5 to see it was excruciating. By ‘94 I was champing at the bit to visit it. And it was so much fun. I couldn’t contain my excitement. This is basically how I remember it in this video from when I first went. It was such a great time. Not only for the park, but Orlando in general. I was so into film and into Orlando that I went to college for it, and have lived in the area since 1998. It’s so different now, and although some things may have improved since then, it’s largely changed for the worse to me. Sure our roads are better, there are more stores and restaurants, and some of the theme parks are more technologically advanced, but back in that time from maybe the mid 80’s to late 90’s, Orlando just struck a perfect balance to me. Not too small, not too big and crowded. And yet it was still world-class and people came from all over the world.
12:25 Me: *Thinking out loud to myself while Biff is pleading* If I let Biff fall to his death, would that be murder, destruction to the entire frame of reality from this Time Paradox, or charity? *Thinks further as I hear Biff panicking. Then turns pale and breaks 4th wall* Nah, I couldn't do that to pathetic nimrod..... Hold on there Meatbag, that's enough doing the time warp again for today!
Hey James, Snap, this was my first visit to USF 👍 and no Jaws wasn't open at the time of my visit, The original ride was redesigned between 1991 and 1993 and opened in 1994, I remember being so disappointed that it was open 😔 lol
@@DisneyDave My dad has a video from this year and Im not sure what month it was, (Im assuming July/August because summer vacation) And Jaws was opened! So Im sure we got lucky with that one at the time!
@@jamesmason5576 so cool you got to ride it back then, you must have been one of the first people to ride it! I think we visited around May this year & with the internet not really around then we had no idea that it was getting a refubushment 🙁
If you have it, is there a way you could post the whole show of Alfred Hitchcock The Art of Making Movies? That show in its entirety seems to be lost to the ages online. Great video! Thanks!

It's looks like being before or after universal studios hollywood and Florida to be there in movie
47:44 So it is true, there was a Hard Rock Cafe in the park. I can't remember where it was initially located. But today it's in CityWalk.
Thats the year I was there I was 9. It was alot of fun back then.
42:17 You made everyone on board famous if they catch you on camera.
that's some good stuff.
Thank you

21:46 That clown Beetlejuice hijacked the animal show.
I actually went this year when I was 7 for the first time!! So great to see this footage. Also, was Jaws not open for you when you went?

Jaws 4, the worst of them all, got their own exhibit 😅
That still would have been great to see, I love anything Jaws but not watched the 4th instalment! 😂😂😂
