Tbh racing games have never really hit top charts since around that 90's to early 2000's to the same extent compared to the amount of FPS and RPG's that are produced. As an investor, putting money into the development of a racing game in general can be a hell of a gamble due to current consumer trends and returns are likely to not be high enough. That's why the racing genre has been deteriorating for the last 5 years easy. IMO
This was probably my favourite track. The jumps were great fun and the turns were nice enough that you could air brake across without bouncing off walls every dang second. God I want this game to be brought back. Picked up my PS2 recently and started playing again. So much fun!
I rented this game from the store many times back in the day, loved the living crap out of it. Fast forward about 8 years and I've picked up a used copy for like 10 bucks. Felt richer than ever.
Cryptomnesia by Kamiya Painters (Tiesto and maybe Ferry Corsten). A very good track and the full version is better. 1 of 4 songs from this game that got me into trance music.
@tsohgallik I'm late answering this question, but here are 5 picks 1) Genix - Rave Daze 2)Above & Beyond - World on Fire(12 inch mix) 3)Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike - Thank you(not so bad) 4)Chicane - Saltwater(Ilan Bluestone remix) 5)Super8 & Tab - Empire(Elevven remix)
Thank you ! This song blew my fuckin mind when i was 8. I got a demo disk in a magazine for my ps2 it had extreme g racing on it. This was the beginning of my love for trance, techno and edm music. Unbelievable that 15 years on and I'm 23 i can listen to this tune in my car blasting along the road with my mates and girlfriend. As free as a bird. Life is magic my friend thank you.
@@Kraken2681994 Trance was at its absolute finest between 1998 - 2007. A lot of the classics came from that decade. Back when DJ's produced tracks of out love and inspiration.
I am back here 5 years later relistening to the OST of all the games and forgot to comment that it's this track: th-cam.com/video/zFTFsiG5Zpw/w-d-xo.html
All the songs from this game are balls deep, prolly bcuz they all came from the Ministry of Sound. This sound track was probably the best as far as Trance is concerned, Im an avid gamer and hard pressed to find a S.T. that tops this one. Also great are Pion 6, Atradaitoshi, and Crystalaria from the same soundtrack.
Well, bet you didn't know that Kamaya Painters remixed a song from XGI in this. I think it was like the third race in it's remixed from? listen closely...
@anubite123456789 not its not the best, it has energy, but its as simple as it can get as a track... this track has more going for it, good production, better quality
man I miss this series so much...wish it would be revived on current consoles
Yuuva I barely got around to emulate it on Dolphin man did I miss out not playing it when I had my gamecube great game
Yuuva I'd really like to see a remake on the PS4 but unfortunately the chances of this game being remade are next to zero.

We need Extreme-G 1-4 remastered NOW.
One of these days I want to see if that shit can be done. I'd love to do the graphic design for that.
Love the fact that this song is the remix of track 8 on the N64 Extreme G.
This was probably my favourite track. The jumps were great fun and the turns were nice enough that you could air brake across without bouncing off walls every dang second.

This song right here is what made me get into techno back in the 2000's, 1:40 and on, so good!
yeah but at least this style aged well unlike the rest like the Atradaitoshi song

I loved this game for gamecube
+Bill A i got this on ps2 omg ear rape to here this again

Any chance you know other guys that sound like XtremeG3?
@@tsohgallik Ultra Vibe - Choose Freedom / Microcosom
Ultra Vibe short lived duo of Aiwave & M.I.K.E. Push
It's mixed with Tiesto Magik 5 which makes it even better!!

This and XGRA emulated hd 1080 with AA and anisotropic filter + Stereo 3D on a giant 150" (nearly a whole wall) screen still look awesome!
I LOVE the breakdown in this one. I could listen to it all day!
Very reminiscent of XG1
Track 8! Hell yeah!
The part from 1:40 has to be from XG1
Unlike Atradaitoshi who really sound like early 2000 techno, this one here aged very well ;)
reminds me of apoptygma's sound
this isn't techno though
So true
This is the best version of this song. It's slightly faster than the Kamaya Painters album version. Best song in the game.
I still have this game on my Ps2 that I kept. I will always take care of this game and play it splitscreen with a friend. so worth it.
First time I noticed that this is a remix of Track 8 on the original Extreme G. That's really cool!
I played this game so long ago, I don't think I ever got to this level. Brilliant track
a hd version of this track with all the instrument behind coming to life would be a killer.
+Fred Bruno /watch?v=MV9osDU2LVM
Cryptomnesia- Kamaya Painters
This is the one right here.
This sound is pure trance
I think all songs that are firmly planted in a specific genre sound the same, breaks included, but that's what makes them genres. :P
Holy Shit! This is also a track on Tiesto Magik 5 and I never knew!!
An internet entity after my own heart.
this is a sweet track lol probaly slip it into a club party if ya wanted to :P
Just realised this is a remix of a EGR1 track lol

Me when I was young: oh hey there's the sun and earth. And over there is the moon...wait...the moon? If that's the moon...where are we're?
@SonictheBedHog it is the most badass racing game ever released in the early 2000's.
This is Kamaya Painters which is Tiësto, and Benno De Goeij... Benno is better known for his Rank 1 duo.
Lovely
how i wish this would be on steam. lost my gamecube version of it :'(
It's okay to emulate the game if you owned it, although performance my not be too great.
+Spyrelle Phea gonna look into emulators :-)
+bad4ever2010?
this is xg 3, for the PS2/Gamecube, the emulators that support this are PCSX2 or Dolphin.
Call me a heretic but this was my favourite extreme-g game.

If its a racing game and it has techno music, count me in.
im sorry but right now this is sittin as my favourite...ul have a hard job convincin me otherwise :P theres somethin about it...RAVE ON!
I found it pretty interesting still, I mean what a coincidence that you'd hear that in this game?
I always killed all the other racers
Well, bet you didn't know that Kamaya Painters remixed a song from XGI in this. I think it was like the third race in it's remixed from? listen closely...
Kamaya Painters made it. Don't know the name, awesome song.
They might not have done that on purpose though. that melody is rather common in trance music.
@anubite123456789 not its not the best, it has energy, but its as simple as it can get as a track... this track has more going for it, good production, better quality
@SonictheBedHog Old school Need For Speeds are your games then :)
@AaronAndersonRWP You're no heretic. I liked this one too.
wait,is Akklaim bankrupt?
A*CC*laim...
And yes, since more than one decade...
Yes. They went bankrupt in 2004 with Throwback Entertainment buying most of their IPs, including Extreme G.
and doing shit with them, is Throwback Entertainment even alive today???
Yeah, and If they DID do it on purpose it would be cool, though it still could just be a coincidence.
Sorry but for me the best track for this game is Needlejuice by System F.
When Tiesto made good music.
are you mad im srry but Hey DJ is the best of them all AnickAckhavong srry
Extreme G 1 is way better
