Thanks for putting this series online. I'm trying to write a linker for x86-64 elf on Linux for "fun". The videos in this series have been SO helpful in ironing out the inhumane kinks in the specs. Also, I'm a teacher myself and I admire your style and enjoy your humor :)

for go executables, is there a linking step? or is it not done as most of the programs are statically compiled?
