I have this exact build 2022 COPO 572,#008. The car is currently rated by NHRA at 500HP. The engine is actually producing 750 to 775 HP as delivered. My car at FS/B NHRA legal weight 3430lbs went 9.53 @142MPH this past summer. I have personally owned three COPOs, 2013 LS 396, 2014 427 LS and this car. In my humble opinion, this car is such a stable platform, easy to drive and very stable at the top end of the track. The current shift points for the stock, factory assembled 572 is 7,000 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 with the car coming through the lights at 7,100RPM. This masterpiece of a drag car was assembled for GM by Turn Key Automotive, in Oxford Michigan. I have great admiration for the skilled, professional workers at Turn Key that build these beautiful race cars.
I saw a figure of 580 horsepower for the 572, but I'm not convinced they weren't talking about S/C 350, which supposedly has the same 580 hp. Is that figure correct or does this monster make "a little bit more" than 580hp?
So, those are the NHRA horsepower ratings and not actual power output. It's something I've been wanting to go over to clear up some confusion on those figures.
Wow....I know I'm old because that's music to my ears!!!

It's beautiful and sounds great I'd love to ride in it.
I want…I just can’t justify it financially right now
starts at 105k; I wonder how much SD paid for this one and what options it has (besides the beastly 572! :-))
Well……COME ON! We want to see this beast run the quarter mile!
LS engines are great, but you can't beat the sound of a BBC!
Sure Ya Can. Pre LS Smallblock
Nope. It’s just Jr

NHRA rated HP determines the class letter/Minimum weight (ABCDE...) and Index but is not the actual HP made by an individual engine.
Crate 572 is 620hp. Without much effort add 100hp to that.
Only needed a small chrome fender or hood scoop badge with 572.
