Hi folks, there are many op-amp Muff-style pedals out there; however, the Siva by Zander is definitely one of the most versatile thx to the great EQ section. What do you think? Do you like this pedal?
This will definitely help you get there faster I had one of these pedals, got it on special in a clearance sale - it really is quite good. Has that glassy IC/opamp Muff "silicon sheen" tone in spades, a shame I had to sell it. Currently using the Green Carrot Pumpkin Pie, if you ever have a chance to try one it's totally worth it. Dual Muff (IC and Green Russian), high quality components & build.
I can't decide which I like better, the American Geek or the Siva. Although my JHS Muffuletta does not have an op-amp style muff setting, so maybe that is what I need. Another terrific video, as always!
I love this pedal because of how awesome the blast switch is, and despite my inability to understand what the shift knobs do - no matter how slowly it is explained to me.
I thought you guys were going to review Sound Project Siva as I saw the word Siva lol. You guys should review the delay pedal they make. It’s unique to say the least.
There's no better, it depends on what you're looking for. Opamp muffs are in general harsher and more aggressive. If you want something very aggressive and in your face go with the Siva. If you need something smoother and more versatile go with the American Geek.
Well, this is controversial, many people say he used a Big Muff in Gish, many others say he used the BM later. However, there are so many guitar layers on SP records that is almost impossible understand the details. This said, the tone on Gish has always sounded real "bigmuffy" to our ears.
Just wanted to say your videos are the best I've seen for pedals out there. You nail it all, very objective, couldnt ask for more- keep up the good work!

The opamp muff is my fave iteration. Great vid!

Zander is a great brand, they have some of the coolest pedals out there.

Good job ! As always !
Thx!
The riff at 13 minutes is downright brutal. This peals produces massive tones.

I would say if you have a Muffuletta, get the Siva for sure. It’s the most different of the Muffs, so the one you would least have covered.
@@removedot Funny enough, I just got a Siva about a week ago after watching this video over a year ago!

i love how the names of these pedals are smashing pumpkins inspired, like how siva is literally just siva or american geek is geek usa

We'll have a look at that. Thx.
Considering this and the American Geek are similar, what would you say is better?

nice pfp
I don’t think Corgan used a big muff for Gish. He started doing that for Siamese dream. Needless to say, it’s a great pedal
Has he used a muff on any other album besides Siamese Dream?

I believe siva was the first recorded song they used the op amp on
