I recently started working at Long & McQuade, the Canadian store associated with Traynor and picked up a used YGL-1 with a Greenback stock for a great price. I even got to see them making YGL-1s at the Factory outside Toronto during my orientation at head office!
Its engraved on the Chassis and the panel is etched, coated then hand filled with enamel and then baked 🙂@@AndyDemos I should have made that clearer, my bad.
You exactly reflect the idea of the perfect guitarist I have in mind...not the perfection with technique, but the perfect fusion of musicality and technique! Great! What about the bass you play at the beginning of the video???
Hi Andy, first time on your channel and I play bass guitar. I saw you review of the Beetronics FX Zzombee Filtremulator. The Stone Def EFX Rise & Shine seems very similar. What is the difference? And...you are a freaking amazing musician. Thanks so much for all the work and effort you put into these videos.
Hey thanks for checking out my channel and for the kind words! The main difference is the Beetronics is an auto filter (like someone moving a wah) mixed with a suboctave fuzz. The Stone Deaf is an octave up fuzz that turns the octave on/off automatically. Very different approaches but both rhythmic! My guess is you may like a sub oct better for bass. Thanks!
Thank you for untangling this, at first glance, labyrinth of “porcibilities”😂. It must come with some sort of directions - like an in depth user’s manual.😊 Hyperbole intended, but it did not simply plop itself down and say “play me, I am easy…” Once again, you show yourself to be on the vanguard of pedal demonstration! Godspeed. 🎸👨🏼⚕️🫶✌️♾️.
@@AndyDemos Not to blow hot air but whenever there's a piece of gear I happen to be interested in, my first instinct is to see if you've reviewed it 👍That kinda sucks with the EP-1 since I have one on the way but the Rise & Shine is absolutely bonkers enough that I'd probably be busy for a few months just exploring what it can do as a stand-alone.
From everything I’ve heard, you’re one of the nicest guys in the biz. Thanks for being awesome. Hope you and yours are safe and happy Andy!
Really appreciate it! Traynors rule btw 🤘

The YGL-1 sounds great!
That tone with high clean mix and octapulse was freakin awesome.
Absolute perfection as always. These are the tastiest tones with a side of licks around.
I guess I know what I’m buying myself for Christmas this year!
Another killer demo Andy! Perfect showcase for this pedal.
Hey, great to hear from you man! So glad you enjoyed it 👊💥👊
very rad. A lot in a small package there, with some uniqueness. Enclosure looks beautiful too
Seriously next level here! That engraved artwork is so detailed and sharper than any silkscreen 👍🏻

Damn that sounds fkn good on bass
Insane pedal. And WTH is this INTRO track ! 😍
That’s fuzz versatility ! 😎🎸
Great demo and cool bass!
Awesome 👏
Amazing riffs as always
Thanks a ton!
Killer riffin there Andy
Thank ya! 😄
Btw, great footwear as usual Andy
Damn, this could easily replace my full tone ultimate octave and even the octafuzz.
Holy shit Andy got a GCI bass... Any chance we hear some Converge in future demos?

I really appreciate this! 👊👊 The bass is a GCI Deconstructivist I’m borrowing, beefy short scale! Thanks for watching!
That sounds killer
Thanks so much!

Hey Andy, love your gear demos and inspirational playing. Do you know by chance if the Rise and Shine is compatible with the SD EP-1 Expression Pedal?
Hey thanks so much, happy the vids are helpful for you! The Exp input is made for a standard pedal not SD’s own exp design.

Another hit from Andy!!it's like a seek wah with an Octavio + this is cool!
More interesting entries from your guitar wardrobe.
How does it stack with the stone deaf warp drive?
This sounds like a lost Soundgarden B-Side.
Thanks!!
Whimsey effects makes one like this called the fantasticwhatsitdo.
Can You Dig It!!!!!
