Everyone has a better way to do the job from the comfort of their homes. He’s the one actually doing it and he’s obviously successful. We all have our own means and methods. Good job and nice video!

Beautiful skidder always loved those 440's but your wedge is way too small should be 1/3 of the diameter that's why your trees won't fall when you cut them

I'm doing that on purpose using the chokes to knock the trees down just leaving enough there to leave them standing. Makes d limbing much easier leaves less of a mess

18 inches of snow is about what I saw and I have actually worked in so much snow that my 440 would only break rds in reverse.

Bore cutting with a saw is hard on a saw they are not made to bore cut with I have in over 30 years of logging ever bore cut a tree and I have no problem putting them where I want them to go.

That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard all week. Chainsaws are absolutely made for bore cutting.

You don't need to destroy all the other trees to get one. You would be fired if u was caught doing that where my crews cut

I'm just curious why you limb with a chain saw ,you can strip them by backing them up into other trees and just put a under cut in and cut it wtf

Theres no reason to limb, the skidder operator can backup 3, 4 times on the way to the landing, 0 limbs left. The wife and i could pull 5 to 6 turns an hour in that kind of timber. We had 3 landings, she would deck 2 turns on each landing, then drop 2 turns on each landing. This gave us 12 turns before i'd have to saw up, we did this 3 times a day. Ten to -20 is perfect when logging Spruce or Balsam.
