Atta Fareed Bagh saheb is a living legend. He has performed brilliantly so many times with Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan saheb, Ustaad Farooq saheb, Ustaad Dildar saheb. In their prime, they were the best in the world and today they are in our memories, thoughts, ears, minds all the time.

Thankyou i was finding this guy from last 2 years
We tried to interview him since 2018! He is fully dedicated to the Baba Farid shrine in PakPattan and rarely travels. We literally met him on our final day in Pakistan. Our film crew had disbanded and returned to Islamabad. Hence this entire interview was shot with a single GoPro camera! If we return to Pakistan, we will do another interview of Ustad Atta Fareed Bhag with better equipment.

Ustad atta fareed is a legend , his alaaps and his style of singing was fabulous even at this age he has melody in his voice. I wish people like this had more media coverage and I wish that someone releases more of his recordings that he performed solo, I love his voice

Following NFAK sahab's early performances and the meteoric rise of his fame in the world of qawalis, one could never ever fail to notice the immensely monumental contribution of Atta Fareed sahab's vocal and instrumental prowess that stamped the supreme standard of performance offered by the team. It was so disheartening to find him missing from the team all of a sudden. I was always intrigued to know if this was due to some internal politics within the team (also that the elder brother of NFAK's team had left the group around that time). Its thus, very comforting, to be able to listen to the parts of this story from the great performer Janab Fareed himself. Once again, thanks my friend ! 🙏

What a humble man!
Ustad Atta Fareed Bhag's humility was the most striking aspect of this interview for me. I gave him so many openings to speak about his own talent, hard work, and brilliance but he reliably would defer, deflect his performances to the prayers and guidance of his elders and of course Ustad NFAK. It proved again for me that the truly greats have no need to boast.
