I have the same amp' in my 2nd system. It's a hidden gem, grows with your system. Power for days. Clear and accurate sound across the whole frequency range..Magic!
What makes this a better amp than the smaller models - a notch more output wattage aside - is the better phonopre and driverstages for the poweramp.
How it's designed - with a metal shield over the power supply XFMR (that big black box looking thing on the left side) that prevents EMI/RFI interference and noise, much bigger power supply caps that gives it better bass and much greater dynamic power, and the whole circuits being designed to have a short distance between input boards and output devices. That level of detail in design is what separates the cheap, throw-away receiver from the ones you really want to keep. That's also why heavier receivers are generally better built and better performing - the power supply with a heavy XMFR(s).....
@@Ezees23 Well,i meant back than smaller ES amp models.
Sold a lot of my es Sony stuff many years ago, got a few items last couple years amp cd player along with apm22es speakers,,,😮
Wow really high end amp
What a beautiful amp.

Its a beast

MOSFET or BIPOLAIRE ?
Hello. How do you sound like this amplifier in general? Difficult to rate over the internet?
For jazz and brass?
plz...i need...background score music link.
probably 100-200/w channel....since 2SA1186,2SB2837 are complimentary pair and has a max rating of 100w in datasheet

High end means there is nothing better, but there are sony TA-F770es and F870es which are far better then that amp. It's just high fidelity, not high end
Well, personaly i prefer the older ES amps with BJT output stages over the newer ones with FET output stages soundwise. And to be honest other
than that and a new faceplate and a remote there is no difference between F730 and F770. They are for the most part the same amp.
@@Zockopa I disagree with you. Search for images of theirs interiors. They are built very differently and F770 have better quality components
@@bronymusiclover8891 Of course they are looking different internaly, because of the motordriven volume pot and the remote electronic.
The audio electronic is the same except the output stages. And better parts ? Nope. Imho the best parts used Sony in late seventies
early eighties in their top TA-F and TA-AX models, and of course in the esprit series, which is truly high end.
@@Zockopa I really encourage you to look at the pictures of theirs interiors as the differences can't be unnoticed. Remote control parts are not even that much visible, but what you can see is power stage, phono preamp, power supply, differences everywhere. I don't really understand why you disagree with that F770 have better quality parts as it's a fact. For the last thing you mentioned I would also add TA-FA series.
Only sanken
Jvc 911 is better.
Haha. High end ist was anderes. Guter verstärker mehr aber auch nicht.
