Abnormal uterine bleeding in a woman without no any cause is termed as Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). Abnormal Uterine Bleeding is a condition where there is irregular bleeding from the uterus. Bleeding is heavier or lighter than normal and is for a longer duration and is a cause of much discomfort. It can occur at any time of a woman’s monthly cycle and even during the normal menstrual period. However, Abnormal Uterine Bleeding does not occur during pregnancy. Bleeding occurs during pregnancy due to other reasons. One of the symptoms of this disorder can be bleeding from the vagina in between periods. Abnormal Uterine Bleeding can also result in extremely heavy bleeding during periods. If extreme bleeding occurs for more than 7 days during periods or otherwise, the condition is known as menorrhagia. AUB can be caused by polyps or fibroids, which are irregular growths in the uterus. Some other causes of AUB may include thyroid problems or a cancer of the uterus, an infection in the uterus. Another reason for abnormal uterine bleeding is hormonal imbalance.
Thank you for mentioning :) I believe I've recently experienced it from hormonal imbalance, and a progestin-only medicine really helped, within 1 dose/1 day, I had ovulated. And that's a great indicator for normalcy, I believe. It also stopped the AUB, within use and especially felt more calmer by 3 days; short-term use of 10 days total but am presently using it. ~ It's appreciated info.
Been bleeding for over 2 mos now, heavily. Had a transvaginal ultra sound and everything came back good. Dr prescribe a contraceptive. This is terrible
@@afrotalent2718 I, yes, since the blood is nonstop even not much, but somehow quite disturbing my daily activities and relationship with my partners. doctor diagnosed me with adenomyama . the thickness of uterine wall cause the bleeding.
Last week of August since my period starts, and now I still have it. Imagine how scared I am right now, thinking every night that I have serious disease. I didn't tell it to my parents because I don't want them to get worried. :(
You should go couseling the doctor. Most country have health insurance in public hospital. Even its doesnt have any significient symptom it ok to go check with the doctor.
@@edravellejumamoy2545 i have been on pills like birth control but so far nothing has helped, im starting a higher dose tonight, so lets hope that works. Edit: I took two pills instead of one of a new birth control and my bleeding stopped. I can't recommend my pill because it may not help you the way it helped me, but you can try mentioning this to a doctor so they know it's an option for you all chronic bleeders. All the love and praying for you health.
The same thing happened to me for 1 year. I have tried everything and 4 doctors i have been to just shrug their shoulders and stop answering my calls. The medical bills started to pile up so im just managing on my own. Now I get my period for 36 days every 3 months
You guys need to have that looked at. First you need to find out what's causing it. Depending on what it is, you may need to be on a type of contraception with hormones to help control the bleeding! (I'm a family nurse practitioner student about to take her women's health final!)

This was very informative but could be made a lot more accessible and compassionate if instead of women you said “people who menstruate.” It’s this type of language that keeps transgender folks from seeking reproductive care due to the dysphoria it triggers. :)

No she's right
Stop your whiteknight language policing please.
Yes, you are right because there are plenty of people who mensturate and ovulate even if they have xy Or xxxy Or xx/xy chromosomes .
