    Nothing beats large scale birds. Id like to see this done with 12s for ease of use. Totally in love with that big baby. Please post up the setup, motor, prop, ESC! Great job Wes!

    Even better an EME 60cc with a starter , you always need the nose weight anyway and start up is the coolest. My TF P 47 set up like that and she still turns heads. And 20 to 25 minutes flights np if not more

    don't let that be the last time l see you flying that P47, Westley you flew the crap out of that big plane,it's true bigger flys much better,please fly it again,l would like to see it on 12s, maybe you can get rid of 2lbs of DEAD WEIGHT ,l may get it if you guys have spare wings, for a maiden you can't do any better,l also get nervous maidening big Birds.but l like them better, please do video of drive train and set up , you and your dad are great for the HOBBY.again GREAT FLIGHT, PILOT.

    Nice flight, Wes. I’m about to start my Zero and P-47 builds for this winter. I noticed that on both models you guys did not glue in the plastic wheel well liners. Any reason that you chose not to? Thanks!

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wes here. The wheels bound out on them so I just left them out. They are not needed just to look pretty.

  • @shelbyseelbach9568
    @shelbyseelbach9568 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice, Wes. What's the reasoning behind motor always spinning? Assuming it is to do away with a little drag at throttle off flight?

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just to look better. Real gas planes the motor would never stop 😉

    • @shelbyseelbach9568
      @shelbyseelbach9568 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MotionRC I thought that may also be the reason. I was just curious as it seems that by doing so you increase the risk of plugging in the batteries and having the motor come to life instantly. Almost like purposely programming in an anti-throttle cut. Simply miss the throttle cut being off by accident and even with the throttle stick all the way off the throttle never actually is? Just kind of has that feeling like a nail gun with the safety wired back. To each their own, but seems like maybe a questionable thing to be coming from a Motion RC rep. Just saying. I could be talking out my a** too, what do I know? Keep em flying brother. Couldn't be happier for the Boozers who deserve nothing but the best. Such wonderful ambassadors of this hobby, as Motion has obviously recognized as well.

  • @paulhlange

    Interesting to see this Airframe and the GP60 set up on 10s.....I would have chosen the GP60 with 12s for more power and substituting the heavier 6s battery weight to offset for less nose weight. Also notice an interesting battery tray with maybe a custom battery captive clamp? I have the BH 89inch F4U via GP60/12s package ready to maiden....expecting it to perform close to your video of this P-47. I would rather have the plywood infrastructor of the P-47 over the CF sandwhich layer of the F4U....but have not flown the F4U for results yet. Thanks for filming the P-47 great flight and providing information on the set up!

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good eye I made a battery tray for it instead of using the straps. Both will work but I like having the easy battery change.

  • @janmb
    @janmb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Being nose heavy is *almost* as detrimental as being tail heavy. Definitely seek to dial out as much of that as possible.
    Nice job though, especially on the landing. And yes, size matters 😁

    Beautiful plane. But 2 pounds of nose weight? Maybe less weight needed of you use a gas engine I'm guessing.

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably but you really don’t notice the extra weight. The airplane is so lightly loaded on the wing it floats all the way in.

  • @captainaxle438
    @captainaxle438 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Impressive but the weathering is way overdone like they just sprayed dirty water over the whole airplane just a poor job of weathering ruins the whole airplane

  • @simonetaormina7080
    @simonetaormina7080 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Even a standard 2 str. Gas is a 25 to 30 min flight. Now this man is a great pilot but on that plane with 28% left that’s enough for one go around if needed. For the average pilot sorry just do not agree with electric on a plane like this.
