They are already doing this in Silicon Valley. But in big campainies in India, it is simply impossible to manage a workforce of lakhs of people without people managers. Their entire job is to manage people. That's how big companies work.
There are issues with wfh jobs in large/diverse companies. Some of them are: 1) Creates 2 tier people in large companies, some are wfh, some are strictly work from office. This creates human emotions issues. Jealousy, Negativity etc. This also causes whether people should be paid more to work from office. 2) Trust issues, moonlighting, confidentiality of company secrets etc. 3) Work is not just 'work', there is psychological manipulation, gaslighting, political games, upper management needs to have a strong hand. This is not possible in remote work.
It is due to ineptitude of managers. Managers are not knowledgeable enough to judge the work estimate provided by engineers. Therefore they are unsure if the remote worker is actually working. This is one of the reasons why they need to see the employee physically within the office. The second reason is that this is an excuse for soft layoffs.
Agreed. India doesn't train its managers to be managers. Also, it's the top management that devices to call people back to office. So the second point of yours kinda makes more sense.
That's a valid suggestion. But as I said in previous videos, too much labour supply and corporates have all the leverage. They don't need to pay you all this.
The real reason is because middle management and higher ups love the ego boost they get from their perceived status and authority at work. This high and mighty feeling is severely reduced online where they can't be bossy and humiliate their subordinates in front of others. Work from Home jobs should be reserved for workers with social anxiety who have the self- discipline to thrive at home where their productivity is highest without social stress.
Even 20 people startups are calling people to office in shared co-working spaces. There's not middle management there. For them, it's all about building culture. You can't "reserve" WFH jobs based on social anxiety. You can do it based on physical health though.
I don't the reason why they did? but WFH would be better for me that is why i mostly prefer STARTUPS rather PRODUCT companies.I prefer USA BASED STARTUPS WITH SALARIES OF INDIAN PRODUCT COMPAINES
Companies need to layoff managers which are not individual contributor.

Buddy I assure you, psychological manipulation, gaslighting and political games are VERY MUCH possible in remote settings.

Hybrid is best .. Human Connect is eternal truth 🎉
Very impressed with the way you communicated throughout. Was fun and engaging. Please continue making more vids on various topics! 👍
I would not mind working from office, just adjust the pay according to rent and travel. Hybrid model is perfect with good pay

9:06 It's basicaly that they want to see their employees work each day in front of their eyes to provide them with ample amount of satisfaction.
Some of them yeah. When not in front of their eyes, many employees broke their trust too.
