OK, so something to explore here! A parsec is a measurement of distance. Han did the Kessel run in under 12 parsecs. This was only achieved as he took a shortcut and therefore reducing the total distance of the Kessel run!!!

Super glad I broke my rules to both support my boy and get this amazing ship! Thanks for watching OOK! Always an honor to read your comments my friend!
I had one of these, along with a couple of other star wars vehicles. It was my pride and joy. I always looked after my stuff and put them back in the box after use. None of them stayed standard, I always modified them. And I only started modifying because my Dad accidentally stood on my snow speeder and cracked the wing under the cannon. He was really regretful for doing it, and when he told and showed me what he had done, he assumed I would be distraught. But the way it had broken, it looked like it had taken a blast from a "Lazer" (sorry I am a fan of Dr Evil). So my reaction was "wow!! It's battle damaged" to my Dad's relief. So since that point I tried to make them as close to what they looked like in the films..... Anyway going back to millennium falcon, there came a time when I didn't play with them as much as I used to. Then a time when I didn't think of them.... I got sent to stay with my grandparents, and got to see all the extended family in Dublin, I went to one of my aunt's house to see my cousins. There I see in their garden, smashed to F#$k, a load of star wars vehicles. On closer inspection, it turned out they were mine. The bits I had changed, stood out. It was definitely my one and it was battered. Along with the snow speeder and my AT-ST. When I confronted my Mum about it, she said "they are less fortunate than you, and you don't use them anymore". I was heartbroken. Just because I didn't use them anymore, didn't mean I was done with them. And I did genuinely still have the boxes. The boxes were knackered, but the box is there to protect the contents. But my Mum's habit of giving my toys away to my cousins didn't just stop at star wars toys. Matchbox, corgi and dinky cars, LEGO, comic's. It wouldn't have been such a kick in the plums if it all got looked after by someone who appreciated it rather than the f-ing little savages that didn't deserve them
Stoffel what an incredible story! I love that you didn’t get mad at your dad for stepping on your snow speeder and honestly that how I would have been too lol. But the heartbreaking story about your mom giving your toys away to your relatives. I understand why she did that but my heart dropped when I read that!!! Oh I can completely understand how you felt! Well hopefully you have been reuniting with some of those toys from your past and getting to relive some of those moments . Great comment and thanks for sharing! Wow 6 more?!?! That’s epic!!! Please share on the Padawan Academy on FB!!! I would love to see your case as well! Almost there my friend! Thanks for watching Spencer!
What a piece of junk! 😁 This was one of the toys I wanted as a kid, but never had. My best friend had it so it wasn't so bad as I got to play with it often. When I got back into collecting in the late 90's, I picked up the POF 2 version which is the same mold, but it's not the same. Even though it's not the Vintage version, one of my prized possessions in my collection is my Legacy Falcon I picked up in 2008. I've admired your discipline throughout your journey Joey, but sometimes rules are made to be broken and the Vintage Falcon along with the worthy cause of helping John and his family in their time of need is definitely one of those circumstances! Great video my friend!
I saw the 90s falcon at a store recently and it’s amazing!!! And I’m glad I broke the rules! The vintage ship is a big part of the Kenner story :). Thanks for watching Matt and taking the time to offer a great comment!
So excited for you Joey! Now that you have your first vehicle/playset it’s time to modify those collecting rules for good. Bring on the Death Star! Hoth Trench! Jawa World! 🤩
Haha yes to all those items you listed!!!! Man I do have to start on my list of vehicles and playsets after my loose run is over! Down the rabbit hole I go!!! Haha! But what a fun one it is! Thanks for watching Scuba! Always an honor for me
Awesome Joey. Congratulations on the Falcon dude! Love the falcon so much. I’ve owned quite a few in my time. During the 90s you could pick them up at Car Boot sales here in the uk all the time so cheap sometimes as low as 50p! I remember my Nan bringing one home for my a few times 😂 managed to get a box as well. A Jedi one with empire pic. Thanks again Joey for the wicked videos 🤘
Thanks XDD! I remember seeing a few falcons for $20 at flea markets here in the states but at the time I didn’t have the space nor money to devote 20 to a toy lol. If I could go back in time! Thanks for watching me friend!

Kudos points to you for helping a worthy cause... The only big vehicle I had, sorry still have was the AT-AT, the Falcon never really appealed to me as I was all about the Empire.
That is an incredibly clean looking Falcon! Great bid for a great cause my friend 👍🏼 I too, do not have the training arm and ball from my childhood Falcon. One of my close childhood friends who just threw his falcon in his attic at his parents still has his arm and ball and a very nice ROTJ falcon box too, I'm trying to convince him to sell them too me 😂👍🏼 BTW, did not know about the escape floor fitting underneath the shell!
That's a tidy whitey! Hey, joey! I'd heard about the planned shuttle mini-rig and wished they made it. I don't think it would be impossible for someone in the custom community to manufacture replicas of this, even haslab! I would certainly get one as long as it's designed to go with the vintage mould falcon. What do you think?
I would love that! Even if it was fan made I’m sure that a bunch of collectors would get that granted it fit into the vintage falcon! Thanks for watching David!
Breaking your own rules? Joey? Lol. If there is one reason and one excuse to be able to do that, it was this charity auction. What a fantastic pickup. It's not far off from being complete, so I think it was a great one to secure. I really like this video, and all the interesting facts that you researched and presented. I did not know about the floor compartment being held by the upper compartment panel. That's awesome. Can't wait to see that bad boy and acrylic! You're definitely not out of your falcon mind. 😉

I didn't know the falcon would be 6 feet long if it was in scale to the figures. I knew it'd be bigger but not that big! Where did you come by that info? Great video. I love the vintage falcon. Han Bespin should always be piloting it. Most screen time with the falcon in the trilogy was in ESB.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial The scale they made it was just right. It was substantial enough but still practical. Kids could pick it up and fly it around and like you said it fit on store shelves!
"We've spotted the Millenium Falcon, Joey, but a-- holes have entered the bidding war an-" A-- holes do not concern me, I want that ship, NOT excuses." :) Beautiful ship. Great piece! :) Great video as always
Hey Matty! I had heard that but I haven’t tried it yet. Partly because I don’t have the destroyer yet 😳. But when I do, I’m trying it. Thanks for the tip and for watching :)
Han did not misuse the term parsec. Nav computers will only plot trajectories using known clear space routes. In other words, nav computers are like google maps and only show how to get somewhere using public roads. Kessel is notorious for all types of travel dangers such as gravity wells and asteroid fields. Because of this, there are only a few known safe routes, but this means a ship which could find a more direct route would save a lot of time on the run. This is what Han did. He found a new route, kind of like a shortcut. Others leaving from the same starting point would travel a known route which would exceed 13 parsecs. The Falcon is not just faster, it has a better Nav computer than other ships.
Two lessons from this video. The Millennium Falcon is awesome. US health care is a mess. And we know this. Highest expenditure in the OECD for lousy health outcomes. I hope the treatment goes well and can now be paid for. Cancer sucks. If I was born in the US I'd emigrate to Canada unless I was among the top 0.5% of income earners.
I just heard about and supported a petition to save Star Wars toy designer Mark Boudreaux who design Kenner’s Millenium Falcon. Laura Lee Anguilar started it 4 weeks ago and provided the following details. Mark Boudreaux is currently at the Bethesda North Hospital in Ohio, having been there for over a year on a ventilator as treatment for covid, which "appears to contradict every health care standard when it comes to ventilator use." (as reported by the Epoch Times article, 'Star Wars Toy Designer's Galactic Battle over Covid ventilator use' - March 9, 2023) Mark is in a catch-22 here, as the extreme amount of time on the ventilator has destroyed his lungs, causing him to require a lung transplant that he is not eligible for because of the destruction of his lungs and health as a consequence of his treatment at Bethesda North. This beloved toy designer and his wife have exhausted every avenue of assistance in their cause, except for their fellow Americans who can come alongside them to put a spotlight on the parties that can alleviate the suffering of their patient. There oath requires that 'first, they do no harm' - but if they fail in their oath, they should do everything in their power to restore the health that their actions and protocols have diminished. This man wants to live! In appreciation for all he has done for us through his talent and designs, let us help him to truly enjoy the rest of his life as a healthy human being again. We petition Bethesda North to seek every avenue possible in providing Mark Boudreaux with the lung transplant he needs to live. At the moment, we only need 443 more signatures to reach the next goal. Please chip in $2 to distribute this petition or share with one other person instead by copying the link via Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Email, or Messenger.
Hey Joey. I want to personally thank you for all your videos and sharing your journey with the community. That said, I have an extra original training remote arm that you are looking for that I would like to donate to the channel. if you want it let me know. :)
That would be epic cangelos!!! And thank you for the awesome words or encouragement and inspiration for me. That really means a lot to me, you have no idea! If you reach out to me on Facebook on the Padawan Academy that would be awesome :). Thank you for watching my friend :)
The 12 Parsecs was deliberately misused in a New Hope as it is meant to be an in joke and also to demonstrate that Solo is talking a load of bunkum and is not as knowledgeable about space travel he claims to be? This is also demonstrated by Kenobi’s Bemused expression during Solo’s Boastful Claim! Best
Hahaha yea I hope I pronounced them both right! I’m still working through my Star Wars linguistic skills! Thanks for watching 853 and for taking the time to comment :)
@@thepadawancollectorofficial you got it right. I did the deep dive into it and found plenty of videos citing the proper pronunciation by the very people that created the terms 👍

6 days!!!! That’s a lot 😜
I might move it up :).
I just moved the schedule up! Tomorrow this episode goes live! I may take a week off soon, but I'll announce that!
"We've spotted the Millenium Falcon, Joey, but a-- holes have entered the bidding war an-"
A-- holes do not concern me, I want that ship, NOT excuses." :)
Beautiful ship. Great piece! :)
Great video as always
Hey T! Haha right?!?! I was excited to get it and the cost went to a good cause. Thanks for watching :)
Did you know it can clamp onto the back of the Darth Vader's Star Destroyer playlet, copying the scene from Empire?
That’s a awesome tidbit and I can’t argue with your logic!!! Thanks for dropping the knowledge on me!!! And thanks for watching Manly!!!
I wish I had an original Falcon. I have the 1995 reissue Falcon.
That one is super nice!!!!! Very detailed!
Cool 😎
Thanks Mike!
Ugh you speak the truth. I can’t even argue with your statement. But thank you for watching and commenting Ghill!
No Wednesday Episode..??
Just moved the schedule up! You asked for it, you got it! I may take a week off soon but I'll announce that, if it happens!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial i guess you deserve some time off lol
Thanks for this reminder Kal. I hope everyone who sees this can look into this
Best
Hey Eugene! Yes that makes sense now with that! Haha now I have to go back and watch ANH with that in mind! Thanks for watching my friend!
Great review. "Suh-bock"? I've been spending that last 40-years pronouncing it "Saah-back". I'm not even going to touch deh-jurr-ick...
Hahaha yea I hope I pronounced them both right! I’m still working through my Star Wars linguistic skills! Thanks for watching 853 and for taking the time to comment :)
@@thepadawancollectorofficial you got it right. I did the deep dive into it and found plenty of videos citing the proper pronunciation by the very people that created the terms 👍
sadly Solo the movie was a huge disapointment
Hey John! Thanks for watching my friend.
Dude, I really like your videos, but you seriously have to stop mispronouncing the word “accessories.”
Haha I eventually do
