Right? Devs: "We made dungeon hallways wider so combat would be tougher without fighting 1v1 all the time." Geomancers: "What? You mean I can put down MORE earthquakes?"
Staves are great in terms of bonuses, but I believe that very low damage isn’t worth it. For example, starting staff has 12 damage, but starting 2h mace - 20, and also has some decent bonuses
Do you think you could scroll through the gear and other trees you have? Maybe a small blurb about how you leveled? Because dang its hard to level as a geomancer.
Can't promise but will take this into consideration.. Honestly, it was the hardest levelup I did, and right now, I don't want to do it again from scratch :) However, I might record 5 5-minute video explaining how to do it with less pain.
It looks soo cool. But i am also getting bit uneasy from the constant screen shake and i am not the type of person to suffer from motion sickness or anything similar. This however... i gotta say its unpleasant and i cannot imagine spending up to several hours at the time like this.
It's not worth it. The maximum damage I got from that passive was like 8 arcane(because of magic resistance), which could be increased I believe to 15 if you max vitality. But you loose so much other bonuses from Willpower...Moreover, you already have enough damage from spells and will struggle to learn some skills that need willpower.
i am highly interested to start a new run as a Geo mage like yours but i have only play fighter before Do you have any guide related to the start as a geo mage? Just some tips and guidijg on first few levels of geo mage will be wonderful for me!
I believe geomancy has the best to offer in terms of capability. You can control almost every scenario - swarms, dashing enemies, strong bosses. However, it's not that user-friendly when you level up, but appears the strongest once you have t3 skills, in my opinion. Pyro and Electro are decent but suffer some problems(especially pyro) with certain enemies. If you are a beginner mage, electromancy is more balanced and rounded, allowing you to control the battlefield and deal massive damage. Just be sure to say out of charge or to take these after you stagger an enemy with a chain lightning or daze them with a short circuit. Boulder + ball lightning may serve as a good blocker for tight passages, allowing you to safely bomb foes with spells while being under Seal Of Reflection. About pyromancy - it has the most damage potential but suffers from charge, and ranged enemies. Stone Spikes and Boulders might come in handy - boulders also can move enemies to a burning tile, while spikes can stop the advancement of a group. Also, I would recommend having a dash for all of the mage builds - this was proved to be a necessity,

@@StoneshardTactics well explained! Thanks you so much, i probably start a new run as mages, as my first run (spears+crossbow) was hitting bottleneck very hard now at level 16 due to poor allocation of skill point
@@nico-qh5vv Main sources or %cooldown and manacost reduction come from Willpower and "Arcane Lore" passive. This char has 34% cooldowns and 25% manacost by default with gear. But this is always 25/25 (game does not allow to reduce more) in combat. You can do great even at t3 skill level, there is a passive that reduces CDs for 2 sec for each grade of "Runic Empowerment", and "Rune Of Binding" which can raise your energy regen up to 100% even without full t5 gear. So basically, once you have these t3 passives it becomes much easier with cooldowns and mana. The main difficulty is to level up the character to t3 skills - in my play, I heavily relied on equipment(decent2h mace) and t2 armour before I got t3 spells. At the start, try to kite and boulder enemies into objects as much as you can, avoiding contact. After 1st quest, you will be able to get full t2 from blacksmith which will make gameplay easier.
How the hell did you manage to level up that high starting only with runic boulder? This game suffers from a big lack of good non-rambling beginner guides :P
Bouldering into objects, kaiting and relying on equipment heavily.. After 1st quest in Osbrook, get full t2 and decent 2h mace or mace+shield and play carefully exclusively with t1 and t2 dungeons, till you level up to t3 spells. This is difficult but possible, and requires precise and cautious play.
@@litinokid it is often difficult to hit properly because of obstacles, moreover, boulder toss is efficient if it travels good distance and you have x3 runic empowerment

I'm playing Ranged/daggers at the moment and i have absolutely no idea how i'm going to handle those kind of dungeons
Unfortunately, archer with Dagger seems too depressive against the undead - piercing damage is too weak and there are too many enemies.
the game is designed like they don't want to be able to actually succeed so understandable.
Dodge and counter atttacks!
@@nicolasrojas1055 I would love to see an efficient dodge build! Did not work for me through :(
nice build bro! 👍
i love staff builds so i usually do that early game then get spells later. Staff works wonders with geo cuz of knockbacks

Same for me! There is an option in settings - “Screen Shake” but it doesn’t help if you turn it off.

31:46 ghost got bodypart damage lol
I am now lv 18 pure geomancy, handle dungeon well
But i have a problem... i cant win troll
damage not enough at all that he alwasy heal back all
Boulder Toss, Earthquake, Spikes.. Oversurging Power.. There is enough )
What do you think about leveling up VIT equally split with Willpower on Geomancer? Doesn't it add more damage because of the boulders' HP scaling?

mid to late game, control overwhelming swarm is really a big problem
too many tank has dash
