Thank you for a different perspective on things than what we have gotten in the past weeks. After hearing some of the things talked about in this podcast I feel as though there needs to be some form of investigation into the decisions being made and how these conclusions were reached. Also I believe there needs to be a bigger discussion with more than just the leadership of CUW and the Board of Reagents.
True, this is sad, however God is in control and The LCMS just like most church bodies need to adjust and change and to be faithful with the resources God has blessed it with.
CUAA does a great job of putting Christ in everything. Hope the district and other partners can make a different outcome then was recently mentioned. Many prayers from our congregation for this ministry to continue and prosper. Bruce Braun
It seems like the Concordias need a coordinated vision for the next decade. As an LCMS congregant it appears they are each individually in crisis management. There should be strength in numbers if they worked together to develop the future plan for these campuses.
God is good all the time. We are sinners and imperfect from the womb. All good things come from God alone. He giveth and He taketh. Our prayers are to be good stewards with His blessings and His word. "I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 1:12-14)
My prayers go out for you.But how does the LCMS justify a 9 million dollar price tag on contemporary youth retreats ,? The entertainment gig is a money burning machine !
This is a sad time. The LCMS seems to be dissolving. Seminary that is just not affordable, churches that are only open on Sundays. How does the church expect to tend to it's flock with these circumstances?
Timely, purposeful, needed. Thank you, Pastor Tim and Dr. Ferry! Continued prayers EVERY day...
Thanks ULC and Pastor Tim for bringing this conversation.

Thank you for this interview. Our son is pre-sem and would like to finish his undergrad at CUAA.
I pray he is able to. Peace and hope in the risen Jesus!

Seminary is free right now.
@@mythicreaper what? Where?
@@ThePodcastPastor Both St. Louis and Fort Wayne have free tuition.
@@mythicreaper wow, thank you.
@@thejoshuaproject3809 I think it's paid by donor grants. From the perspective of the student, it is definitely affordable.
I’ll echo the sentiment you discourage. They should consolidate. Sentimentality isn’t going to pay the bills.
Vision inspires generosity.
