Hi Keith, thank you for the continued flow of informative Nugget. I use them a lot to refresh my skills, it is not everyday that you get to use the concepts in the real world :) . All the best in 2015 and looking forward to more Nuggets from you!
Hi Keith Could you elaborate on which software you 're using here in this video ? I'd like to watch and practice, following your steps. You are a genuine teacher...thank you.
That video used the emulator called GNS3. There are hundreds of videos on TH-cam to walk you through using it. Enjoy. If you want a simpler path for hands on practice, you may want to look into the free "Packet Tracer" from Cisco at NetAcad.com Best wishes to you!
Thank you Sir for your excellent videos. We are glad of it. Sir we run a small institution in small indian town. Is it possible for you to show us a sample of small enterprise setup all inside gns3 as you have expertise in server, security, cisco, junipers etc. A single or two labs setup in which all aspect of running a small company can be configured. like Windows servers and its services with its clients inside vmware in GNS3 with iOSv routers and iOSvL2 switches and ASAv firewall. modularity to add different vendor devices in GNS3. Running every possible protocols related to switiching and routering with mix layout of routers and switches in designing the placements.

Nidz

I've been reading the comments and I don't see a single person pointing out that traceroute being TCP not UDP (by default) WTF!!
For traceroute, Linux uses UDP. Cisco routers use UDP. Windows uses ICMP.
@@keithbarker4353 I just investigated and you are right! I would like to know why.
Thank you
Good!!!
