If you're still wondering, hellfire 3 gives hellfire bomb during monster rage. The bomb would knocks down monster if it hits the monster once per hunt. Tldr it has interesting interaction with blast dash, and would just knock it down on hit. 0:50 of it in action
For Mortals who are not speed running, it depends :) Best Normal for "everyday" use it Kamura Best Long for "everyday" use is uh... Elemental Base. Same with Wide.

Is the Kamura Gunlance better than the Chaotic Gore Magala Gunlance?

probably with other weapons it is! with gunlance it's weird, because reverse dash blast and redirection do not proc adrenaline rush
