Vehicle Tour - Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Overland Camper with unique interior and rear design.

- Take a tour of this exciting "Freedom Cruiser" built on a LC 79 with a highly efficient interior layout that includes a kitchen, sofa/bed and a toilet shower. The cab overhang area is used to provide amble storage.
The interior finishes are full of natural materials such as solid hand cut pine wood, mother of pearl covering the interior of the shower and Moroccan tiles.
The most exciting part of the vehicle is the rear that opens up completely to blend the outdoors with the interior of the vehicle.
The vehicle has a 180L water tank and a 50L grey water thank. 200AH lithium battery and 300W solar panels for full off-grid living.
The Land Cruiser 79 is perhaps the most renowned 4x4 that has earned its reputation across the world in the most remote places.

If you had a portable induction 2 burner cook top could run of solar or diesel so no gas needed. If you had a winner well log burner / oven / hot water 💦 that be cool as well, heated floors be cool for cold weather, roof top pop up access from in cab be cool for extra space And a Cinderella incinerator toilet modified to run of diesel with ash go under van be amazing - Beautiful Build love the bathroom a large double over cab be cool with views by your feet be cool with a fold up head board for night time. Great job I like that it is hardy on outside and little cabin on inside

The back bumper makes no sense, why angle the back bottom of the cabin ( For climbing at an angle? ) then install a bumper that hangs way out ? That makes no sense.
Nice set up. The step ladder could be a problem. It might get ripped off. Cool interior.
Nice, access to the cabin from inside is a definitely plus; the rear door is a good idea, but the camper body looks way too long and tall. changing the roof to popup might be a good idea
you should have done a chassis extension and got the rear wheel back more so its not so heavy behind the axel will drive better to if you did this, just saying
any modification on chassis and weld on chassis not allowed in uae or the car will not registration on the road

Hello guys. What's the complete weight incl. full water and fuel tanks? Can you build this setup also for european / german roads and laws?
And can you do this also on a double cab, so that 3-4 people can travel?

Interesting concept. The interior appears to be focused on luxurious design rather than functionality. Gross Total Mass (GTM, "weight") is a concern in terms of offroad capabilities and road legality (not necessarily in the UAE). The rear overhang is a real issue as it significantly limits offroad capabilities - imagine driving down the slip face of a dune or climbing a rock step in a wadi ... The height of the cabin and its weight shift the centre of gravity up to considerable degree. The 35" inch wheels, the 2" body lift and the ARB suspension upgrade promise a lot of offroad capability, which the size and weight of the cabin counteract. The result appears to be a vehicle which is more suited to overlanding including skid roads and easy off-roading.

The pricing for the Land Cruiser is 120,000USD. Sadly it may not meet emission needs for the US. We do have the Defender 1993 which falls under the classic vehicle category and will pass the US laws, it is priced at 50,000USD.
