The "do-gooders" never tire of acting the nanny, even when they're wrong. What about refined carbohydrates? They are as harmful as sugar, yet for the past 40 years, the "experts" told us to load our plates up with them.
Imagine if drinks were sold without sugar and it was custom to stir in your own, to taste...
like coffee
nobody wants this only the money makers
Truth from Philly. Long story short, shops make more money from fountain drinks. When the tax was implemented every shop increased the prices of non-sugary drinks to keep the prices of fountain drinks competitive. We need a stupid politician tax. And now to try and sell the tax to ya they cry *"FOR THE CHILDREN"* So they went after smokers with crazy taxes and nobody spoke out. They are doing it with soda and nobody speaks out. What's next? Cookies cakes candy? Then pizzas, cheese steaks, and fries? Worst part is even if it worked and people stopped drinking these drinks they already got used to the money so the tax will continue to rise to compensate as people stop drinking those kinds of drinks. Idiots... all of them.
this isnt tax on the company, its me paying..... making money
if i want a sugar drink i go and get one, now i must pay tax, if i can find one, there is so many drinks pretending to have sugar but have carcagens
