- James Reyne is an Australian songwriting and performing legend. He's also the guy I've spent the last 30 or so years working with as well as being my brother-in-law (Elisabeth's older brother). James favours a fairly simple rig based around a modded '68 Gretsch Viking, AC30 and some Fractal FX8 generated effects. Yesterday I filmed an amusing rig rundown with him at The Palms in Melbourne's Crown Casino.

Love you guys! James is a legend and I never tire of listening to him.
Brilliant, just brilliant! The hairs at the back of my nape are upright. Thanks, Brett.
Aussie rock 'n' roll royalty!
Dayum, that Gretsch! Nice to see an FX8 in the wild too.
Very enjoyable watching this
I really enjoyed this!❤
It is good to see the old brigade still has life in it.
Absolute fucking legend!!
Awesome burgs. How come James never seems to get old..... Looks like he did 30 years ago.... Wish I did.
i love james reynes music the line mar cal low ferr wo wo caaa from the song reckless always got to me.
And the boys light up !!!
Looks like a real nice guy. Great gear!!
Tott's got a new spot.... Next to the Viking.
That was fun 😂
Gretsch Viking in Cadillac Green. Tasty. Wasn't this sold a while ago?
Nice sounding Gretsch! Doesn't sound as chimey as you'd expect.
What happened to the double plaster casts?
I think he healed a while ago...
Tottie is still a hottie!
Tell me Brett Kingman to my ears The Boys Light Up sounds very much like Queen " I Want It All". Not lyrics wise but tune. If I am correct TBLU was 1980? I want it all 1989 so Queen nicked it from Oz Crawl. Watcha think?
Ooh. Not sure about that one. I shall make enquiries!
it's just in the same key of Bm but I don't think it sounds the same
Brilliant! James is obviously clueless about gear, lucky he's good at picking up chicks!
