These kind of movies are vry rare to see. I watched this movie, 3 times in theaters, I dnt know how many times in amazon prime. Savithri was a natural actress, kind and vry giving person from what I've heard from my childhood. This movie portrays some of it thou.... The raise and fall of legend....!! That's what Mahanati is all about.... Wish this movie had another part.....
Rajeev should start actually start calling himself a hindi film critic,not a Indian film critic.There are a lot of small and big film critics who watch major Indian languages movies ..but Rajeev still remains to be one of only hindi or huge production based Hollywood movie critic...

They might be able to easily allow Hindi to kill their mother tongues and own cultures. Probably because their languages being too close to Hindi and less richer when compared to Hindi and so have no special identity of their own and so for them Hindi is not an extra burden to learn. Ok. Let them do so. Its upto their will whether to protect the diversity of United India or to allow Hindi to kill all great languages in the country. Actress JAMUNA garu is the one whom the film Crew had missed showing. They projected ANR, NTR, SVR, directors, producers, photographers, family, friends & workers but left JAMUNA garu. They (Savitri garu and Jamuna garu) together casted in many many films. I think this was not raised by almost all the anchors , especially Telugu interviewers. And its pretty sad.

I used to think south indian movies are all crap, only baseless action, whole movie about heroes, always objectifying women, etc etc. but my first exposure to malyalam films were Ennu ninte moideen and Banglore days. Sir our hindi films are nowwhere close to them apart from high budget action movies. I am die hard dulqeer fan now. watched almost all his movies. few of my favourite malyalam films are 1. Ennu Ninte Moideen 2. Banglore days 3. Charlie 4. Premam 5. Kali 6. Ustaad Hotel i want to watch more of these industry but i dont know where to access these movies. Malayalam and Tamil industry are best in the business if you talk about Indian Cinema. Been watching lots of Malayalam movie with the help of subtitles because I'm a Hindi. Would be thankful if anyone help me to learn Malayalam and Tamil.
"I'm a Hindi" is a wrong terminology man. Hindi is a language, not an ethnicity. You're a North Indian. Or maybe you're a Mumbaikar, then you are West Indian. Or perhaps you're from West Bengal, then you are East Indian. But you cannot be a Hindi or a Malayalam or a Kannada, those are languages not ethnicities.

What was there in mahanati to know about savithri Garu..it's screen time was wasted by Samantha's love track and half was messy..there's no rajababu ,gummadi and other imp characters ..really don't understand what's so hype of mahanati.. if screen time was less,make a short series and show us on amazon prime.. yevade subramanyam was a piece of art but not this ..

Malayalam and Tamil industry are best in the business if you talk about Indian Cinema. Been watching lots of Malayalam movie with the help of subtitles because I'm a Hindi. Would be thankful if anyone help me to learn Malayalam and Tamil.

"I'm a Hindi" is a wrong terminology man. Hindi is a language, not an ethnicity. You're a North Indian. Or maybe you're a Mumbaikar, then you are West Indian. Or perhaps you're from West Bengal, then you are East Indian. But you cannot be a Hindi or a Malayalam or a Kannada, those are languages not ethnicities.
