I just had a smile on my face the entire time... Skylanders will always have a special spot in my heart, all the memories of when life was simpler and no responsibilities came flooding back and it made me so emotional. This game may have died but not in our hearts. No matter the size, element, the ones I wasn't able to buy at the time, the ones that I may not of used as much as others... You all played a role and Thank you for being there. You made a kid have something to treasure and love. Until next time... Thank you... "BOOM"
Thank you skylanders for being here when times were tough. When things were rough. From the islands to the seas, that go up to my knees. Thank you skylanders for my childhood you were oh so good. May you live long and many more and your figures spread across my floor.
This video almost made me cry. Skylanders was my childhood and this brings back the memories of coming home after school and getting to go to a different world. Still think Drill-Bot is the best rapper
I only played a small part in the making of two Skylanders games (contract VFX artist), but working on them was definitely a proud highlight of my career.
Skylanders Giants was one of my absolute childhood games. I only had 3 Skylanders, I remember Tree-rex and I believe the others are called cynder and jet-vac. Everytime me and my brother went back home from school, we instantly went to our wii and played it for HOURS trying to find ways to get into the Element Zones somehow. When I played alone I always did the Stages where it featured that massive Blue Robot (don't remember his Name though) and that other Stage, I believe it's called something with Drill. The OST in that game was crazy good too... Nostalgia man... it's a real and strong thing on this Planet.
I have the same starter set as well! the sky landers giants for wii with tree rex and the other 2 skylanders. I remember playing it with my sister and begging my dad for a new sky lander everytime we went to the store
This legit brought tears to my eyes, this game was everything to me when I was younger, when life was simpler. Thank you for making this, it awoke the child left in me.
I'm going through childhood nostalgia and I feel bad for having dead moments at times. This series was a big point in my childhood. The concept and ideas were phenomenal back then and Skylanders wants to be able to live up to its older days, but I feel that money started to become a bigger focus when really, creating a fun and memorable adventure for anyone to play is the key to making a good game.
I still remember being blown away when I first saw Skylanders, I still remember getting my first character (Drobot) and I remember being the only person in my year who still cared about the series. Thank you for everything Skylanders I couldn’t be happier to have you as a part of my childhood.
@@Spectral-Ace Whilst no one seemed to care at school, I was overjoyed to know that there was still people who cared about the franchise as much as I did.
I remember when I first saw it I didn't even have or get the game but my first skylanders was zap and I ended up getting the game for Christmas and was so happy ofc now many years later and the game is tragically gone cuz well everyone they did it for is practically all grown up now
A game that went by way too fast. We wouldn’t have Amiibo without it. It brought Spyro back, and led to the Reignited Trilogy. With witty humor and great characters, anything could happen in Skylands. Let’s all hope it comes back soon. Until then, thank you for everything, Skylanders.
@@yishivods Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure first released in 2011, and is the first mainstream instance of the “toys-to-life” gimmick. It led to other games that used the gimmick as well, like Lego Dimensions and Disney Infinity. As for Sm4sh 3DS, it was released in 2014, as were the first Amiibo. Comparisons were made by fans back then. Since Spyro’s Adventure was on the Wii and became a massive hit, I’d imagine Nintendo sought to get a slice of that action with their own toys compatible with multiple games, thus Amiibo. Tl;dr, evidence suggests that Amiibo were inspired by Skylander figures, of which my comment is implying.
When my parents were separated and I was forced to move to a place where I had no friends or knowledge of any location, this game was like a comforting home and the Skylanders and their allies were my new friends. This series saved me from even more pain than I would have been without it!
I’m gonna cry… just hearing that music again, after all those years… my childhood came back to me… Thank you for all those beautiful memories skylanders
I remember coming home from school, sitting down and playing this with my brother. I cant believe it is really dead ,the amount of memories I have from this game is immeasurable .I have been blessed with the honour of playing this game and I will forever be grateful for creating my childhood. goodbye fellow portal masters and thank you 'too all creatures great and small'
When I say this game means absolutely everything to me, I meant it with a burning passion. This game was my childhood, my everything, my getaway from the hustle bustle of real life, whenever I was down or scared or downright nervous for whatever reason, I could always count of this masterpiece of a game franchise, and while it did slowly decline in popularity with the more games they released, it never stopped me from playing the games as and when they came out, because for me, each installation was a completely new adventure with friends and foes alike and I am so happy that I got to see Skylanders right from its original release with Spyros Adventure back in 2011, to the very last game in the mainstream games, being Imaginators. This game was a godsend and a legacy, and I will always remember it for the joy and happiness it brought not only me, but millions of others all over the world, so thank you Toys For Bob, Thanks You Activision, and thank you to everyone else, fans and content creators alike, who made this game a truly unforgettable experience. As a wise man once said, “Your Journey Is Only Beginning!” - Master Eon, 2011 - 2016.
I never knew when I was younger that Skylanders was a spin-off of Spiro, in fact I used to think Giants was the first game, since it was the first one I played and the only other Skylanders game that was out at the time. Got the starter box set for Christmas, played it half of the day. Still play the games every once in a while. Love the series.
I used to love playing this with my little brother before he passed away. I'm a completionist and have 2 trophies left to get in the original but I can't find myself able to go back to it. Still can't get rid of them either.
@Rickzy Thanks :') It's actually why I started doing my own channel. It was his dream to make it as a big youtuber so I'm trying to carry on his torch. He had a video reach 2.5 million views and Idt he ever got to see it blow up.
same, i was 5 and i got skylanders giants as a christmas gift. at most all i did before was maybe play angry birds on my moms phone or something. i died to a chompy with jet vac on the first chapter lol. theres so many memories that i still remember so fondly, as if it literally happened a year ago. it might sound kinda dumb since im only 14 and so many ppl would wanna go back to when they were my age, but i miss those skylanders days so fuxking much
Skylanders helped me keep going in life. I moved from South Africa to the States in my 7th grade year and met some friends. We bonded over Skylanders. I remember getting Trap Team on day 1 and playing together for hours on end. As they say, Skylanders may be dead, but its heart lives on. Thank you, Toys For Bob and Vicarious Visions. This series was one of few when I was growing up that sparked my enjoyment of adventuring and creativity. Swap Force really took my creativity spark and pushed it into over drive, the thought of taking stuff I love and combining it in different ways was so cool. Not to mention the designs of Skylanders across all the games really screamed imagination. In a way I want it to return but I also know not everything can stay around forever. All I can say is thank you for making this video and reminding me of the great times I had with this franchise.
Skylanders was my first ever game, and im just getting back into it right now. What a ride this has been, absolutely all of my gaming career has skylanders to thank for it.
My dad was never around as a kid, but there was this one time he came home randomly one with a rare red transparent drill sergeant. It was one of the first times he ever got me a gift (i would've been 9 or 10) and i hold that memory fondly and still have that drill sergeant on my self
Thank you so much, Skylanders. You were such a huge part of my tween life and helped me get through years of bullying in school. This series was an escape for me and I still find myself revisiting it regularly whenever I feel down. I remember logging in to Spyro's Universe every morning before school, then coming home to see if Skylander Boy and Girl had uploaded a new video. That feeling of your parents surprising you with a new Skylander, taking you to the store to pick one out was unlike anything else. I may be 21 now, but I will always be a young portal master at heart. Happy Birthday Skylanders. 🎉
I use to always to play skylanders after school. When I have nothing to do I just look at the last skylander I have remembering all the good times I had playing the game
thank you, skylanders, for bringing so much joy to my childhood. i still remember exploring every nook and cranny of every game, and unlocking everything there was to be unlocked with my little brother like it was yesterday. thank you, for giving me and my brother a great game that we probably played way too much. thank you for everything.
as a 6 year old, sitting down on my wii and placing the character on the portal and it showing up in game, it was mind boggling, and taking account the technology back then and how they did it, It still is absolutely amazing they pulled it off so well. I'm gonna miss you trigger happy.
This made me cry... I love this franchise. The community is so sweet, and the games are so much fun- I'll forever be a portalmaster, and I'll never forget the games that helped connect me with so many wonderful people. 😄❤️💖👍💕
I would still go on record and say the original skylanders game was the best christmas present I ever got as a kid. I might be forgetting something better but the fact I remember playing it for the first time that day and how excited I was playing it to me means it was the best.
I have tons of memories of playing Trap Team at my cousins house, and loved watching the Netflix show as well. I hope we can either get a new game, or at least a new season of the show especially since it ended on such a cliffhanger.
My favorite game was trap team and swap force at the end of trap team i boucht no more Skylanders because if you do bowser and donkey kong in Skylanders than it is clear for me 😂 but the first games found i fantastic a butiful mamory with my best Friends and little brother😌
This game is what started it all for me, I remember getting the Spyros adventure starter pack like it was yesterday, watching the E3 reveals and gameplay, it’s like a fever dream. I still have all my figures to this day, I started playing Skylanders in the 3rd grade and now I’m in my first year of college time flies. I may not play Skylanders anymore, but the memories I’ve made with them will last.
Awesome video man! Honestly made me realize how sentimental I am. I remember when I had to move to a new place and my parents said I couldn’t keep my sky landers. I had I believe just over 70 at the time. I was super sad. But when I met the family that wanted to buy them, I could tell they weren’t as fortunate as me, aka they couldn’t afford a bunch of skylanders like my parents could, they told me it was for their kids birthday. I couldn’t help but remembers the times when I would get a new sky lander, every time was amazing. After hearing their situation I sold all the skylanders to them for about $40. I was content knowing that they were going to someone that would enjoy them as much, or maybe even more, than I did. Thanks for the blast of nostalgia man, I didn’t know I needed lol.
Almost my entire childhood was skylanders I remember my mom picking me up for school and having to go to the store after and begging her for a new skylander it was probably the biggest part of my childhood and now it’s dead😪
This gave me shivers ngl. Skylanders is such an amazing series and just seeing how much love and care was put into it by its creators makes me appreciate its existence and the memories it gave me over the past 10 years. Thank you Toys For Bob, Vicarious Visions, Beenox, and XPEC for everything you have done.
Im not even old yet I feel like the game means so much. I remember waking up with my bro in summer and sitting in front of our ps3, opening skylanders and replaying it for the whoever knows many time. With our 8 characters still with us, this video hits hard. And I personally think i shouldnt have the right to say that as a 14 y/o

This video was a Thank you from all of us. My first interaction with skylanders was my dad bying me and my sister Thumpback becuase he thougt it was just a normal action figure. We then later found out it was for a game and so we bought that game. Skylanders Giants. Every friday my dad would get us a new skylander to play with until we had alot of them. Of course not all of them but a good chunk. I will cherish skylanders forever. Thank you. From all of us
An absolutely beautiful series, it had its highs and lows but it has a special place in all of our hearts, if only it ended on a better note than it did. Maybe another game or remasters of ssa or giants in the future?
My childhood. The series that shaped me. Inspired me. My love for story telling, video games and fantasy settings all sprouted from Skylanders. I stuck by it through all the hate. I am proud I am a collector of Skylanders. This series means the world to me, and I am so excited to play the original again after so long in celebration. Thank you, Spyro, for taking us on your Adventure. ❤
Skylanders was a huge part of my child hood. I played “Giants” all they way to “trap team”. But then I drop there. But now, I have giants, spyros adventure, and trap team. I don’t plan on stopping until I have all.
I made up a game sequel for them: “Skylanders: Fusion Squad” *Story:* A familiar antagonist has returned and discovered a strong and mysterious force that can combined two beings into one. With that power, he can fuse his own minions into powerful beings to cause mayhem among the Skylands. It is up for the elite Skylanders to put an end to his misdeeds, the Fusion Squad. *Gameplay:* The players get to fuse two Skylanders into one being with combined powers and elements. But if their fused characters get defeated, they will be un-fused in the process, but the separate characters will still continue on their journeys. They can’t be combined again until their fusion health bars have been fully charged. *Fusible Characters* -Core Skylanders *Air - Pop Thorn *Earth - Fist Bump *Fire - Sunburn *Life - Food Fight *Magic - Double Trouble *Tech - Countdown *Undead - Chop Chop *Water - Flip Wreck / -New Skylanders *Air - ? Skylander *Dark - Dragon Skylander *Earth - Bad Breath *Fire - ? Skylander *Life - Rabbit Skylander *Light - Dragon Skylander *Magic - ? Skylander *Tech - ? Skylander *Undead - ? Skylander *Water - ? I still remember when I got my first Skylander. It was Wash Buckler, allll the way back in 2013. I wasn’t a veteran, but I was there for the end, and I was extremely sad to see it go. _Happy 10th, Skylanders._
I'm on a nostalgic trip at the moment but dang, I didn't realize how much I really enjoy this series. When I first saw it I wanted to play it because it got Spyro in it. I played The Legend of Spyro games and Spyro Enter the Dragonfly before Skylanders. So it was because of Spyro I got into Skylanders. At that time I didn't care how Spyro looked. I was glad Spyro was back in a brand new series. I played Skylanders and enjoy the heck out of it. I was sad Spyro didn't have his own game, but I had something to enjoy and that something was Skylanders. I didn't realize I was already making good memories with Skylanders. Playing Skylanders with my family members, friends, oh the memories. My first Skylander figure was Stomp Mash and I grew to like his character. Than social media exposer came and I was going along what other Spyro fans who talked about this series. My "hate" for Skylander (I never really truly hated the series, I took the cowards way and just agree what other people said while secretly liking the series), finally came to an end when I watch Square Eyed Jack video (which I recommend watching, it's been awhile since I last seen that video so my memories are slim can't remember what he said in that video) where I finally just stood with my opinion and agreed what he said. Skylanders is a great series. He even made a comment about how fans (like myself, I'll take the blame) complain about Spyro design which if my memories serve me correctly, Square Eye comment how stupid it was how some fans complain about Spyro design just to hate the series. And Square eyed Jack (if I remember it right) enjoy the original Spyro games. And he enjoys Skylanders. Skylanders was a great series that ended way... Way too soon. Too young to die. Way too freaking young. Call of Duty should of died before Skylanders ever did. Crazy how that series is still going (I think cod fans are giving up on cod, that's should tell you how bad cod had gotten). I may not have stick around with the series for that long and I may have moved on, but I still have freaking fond memories with Skylanders. The best part was playing with the figures. Playing them and just letting the story unfolds. Characters going on crazy adventures. I do hope this series comes back. This series deserved to come back. And should get the same treatment Crash and Spyro got. Remastered to bring in old and new fans. Sorry for the long comment. Just the realization how Skylanders was part of my childhood and now I kind of want to play the game but can't because it's all put up. Here's hoping Skylanders make a come back.
Thank you Skylanders for being there when I needed you the most. Thank for making my childhood and making the person I am today. Thank you for being the best game(s) of all time. Sad to see you leave but good to remember all of the memories!
T^T My soul began to cry when it realised its childhood is over. Man thank you for making this for us. And even though the Skylander Series has died for now, it will not die in our hearts as a legendary ally to aid our younger self.
Holy shit, this has shed me into big tears. Ever since i started up the very first level of Spyro's Adventures, I knew it was just gonna be awesome. Skylanders may have left this moment, but it'll forever be deep inside of my heart.
I actually had tears in my eyes just hearing the music alone, I had such good memories: playing with my friends, me going to buy skylanders with my dad, being happy as hell when I saw a skylander box shape under the christmas tree, doing nothing but watch trailers of the newest skylander trailers, doing my best for school because if I had good grades I would get a new skylander, my dad giving me the dark edition of Trap team and making me cry out of happines, and ofcourse as last: beating the game and hear Eon saying how proud he was, he told us a valuable lesson: "This isn't the end, it's a brand new begin because danger is always around the corner, so go protect skylands"
I actually remember getting skylanders for the first time. It was amazing to roam around the world and beat up bad guys with awesome looking characters. Heck, I even think I got another one of the games as well back then. Playing those games felt like I was put into a whole new world with new creatures and people to meet. I really, really did enjoy it. Thank you for such an amazing game series, Skylanders.
This game means so much to me now, the music alone makes me tear up. My bestfriend I grew up with would always come over to my place and we would play this all night and day, we loved this game. Sadly, he has been gone for 6 months now and I miss him so much, but with skylanders I can be so grateful for the memories that it gave us. Thankyou so much.
We restored the core of light. We stopped Kaos from getting his hands on the iron fist of arkus. We saved the ancient elementals. We fearlessly hunted down the doom raiders. We defeated the darkness itself. We used our imagination to take down kaos once again. We have saved skylands so many times... And we can do it again.
That. Was just just pure beauty. Skylanders means so much to me, I can’t even describe it. I hope it comes back in some way, whether it’s by a new game or something else. Also, where’s the credits music from? (Just out of curiosity?)

True
This brings back a lot of good memories of tackling bombs to explode the enemy
This video almost made me cry. Skylanders was my childhood and this brings back the memories of coming home after school and getting to go to a different world. Still think Drill-Bot is the best rapper

I only played a small part in the making of two Skylanders games (contract VFX artist), but working on them was definitely a proud highlight of my career.
Thank you. You were part of the reason we got to enjoy these games, and for that I am grateful.
Drill-x! I loved his song haha
I have the same starter set as well! the sky landers giants for wii with tree rex and the other 2 skylanders. I remember playing it with my sister and begging my dad for a new sky lander everytime we went to the store
Remember how many swarms were on sale at stores
I had skylanders swap force on the Xbox 360, that game takes me back
Are we the same fucking person. This is exactly how I remember it. Tree Rex came with the actual game too
This legit brought tears to my eyes, this game was everything to me when I was younger, when life was simpler.

Same here i am the only one in my entire school who still cares about the series
@@Spectral-Ace Whilst no one seemed to care at school, I was overjoyed to know that there was still people who cared about the franchise as much as I did.
I remember when I first saw it I didn't even have or get the game but my first skylanders was zap and I ended up getting the game for Christmas and was so happy ofc now many years later and the game is tragically gone cuz well everyone they did it for is practically all grown up now
I remember going to a store and buying spying cuz he looked cool as hell and I thought he would be strong

It's so nostalgic and sad
No this is not a goodbye but a see you later of sorts. Your journey with your skylanders and friends is only just beginning.

I’m going to miss Captain Flynn the most, he is the most iconic character I know
I also want to thank this series for being one my biggest inspirations to get into game development.
Thank you so much, Skylanders.
It also lead to the n-sane trilogy and crash 4
i thought super smash bros for Wii U/3DS was the first game with the Amiibo concept and with the first Amiibo's

Swap Force really took my creativity spark and pushed it into over drive, the thought of taking stuff I love and combining it in different ways was so cool. Not to mention the designs of Skylanders across all the games really screamed imagination. In a way I want it to return but I also know not everything can stay around forever. All I can say is thank you for making this video and reminding me of the great times I had with this franchise.

this is probably the best childhood game somebody could have, you have a place in my heart skylanders, i hope some day u return.

I made up a game sequel for them:
“Skylanders: Fusion Squad”
*Story:*
A familiar antagonist has returned and discovered a strong and mysterious force that can combined two beings into one. With that power, he can fuse his own minions into powerful beings to cause mayhem among the Skylands. It is up for the elite Skylanders to put an end to his misdeeds, the Fusion Squad.
*Gameplay:*
The players get to fuse two Skylanders into one being with combined powers and elements. But if their fused characters get defeated, they will be un-fused in the process, but the separate characters will still continue on their journeys. They can’t be combined again until their fusion health bars have been fully charged.
*Fusible Characters*
-Core Skylanders
*Air - Pop Thorn
*Earth - Fist Bump
*Fire - Sunburn
*Life - Food Fight
*Magic - Double Trouble
*Tech - Countdown
*Undead - Chop Chop
*Water - Flip Wreck

-New Skylanders
*Air - ? Skylander
*Dark - Dragon Skylander
*Earth - Bad Breath
*Fire - ? Skylander
*Life - Rabbit Skylander

never thought a simple video would make me cry so hard. truly the best game ever.
i'm pretty sure this video has made thousands of people cry (in a good way)
I still remember when I got my first Skylander.
Here's hoping Skylanders make a come back.
sometimes i wish i could just rewind the clock and experience this for the first time again
it was so magical playing it for the first time..
Thank you Skylanders for being there when I needed you the most. Thank for making my childhood and making the person I am today. Thank you for being the best game(s) of all time. Sad to see you leave but good to remember all of the memories!

Holy shit, this has shed me into big tears. Ever since i started up the very first level of Spyro's Adventures, I knew it was just gonna be awesome. Skylanders may have left this moment, but it'll forever be deep inside of my heart.
Staying up late on a Friday night playing this with my dad is a treasured part of my childhood... Thank you, Skylanders.
I actually had tears in my eyes just hearing the music alone, I had such good memories:
playing with my friends, me going to buy skylanders with my dad, being happy as hell when I saw a skylander box shape under the christmas tree, doing nothing but watch trailers of the newest skylander trailers, doing my best for school because if I had good grades I would get a new skylander, my dad giving me the dark edition of Trap team and making me cry out of happines,
and ofcourse as last: beating the game and hear Eon saying how proud he was, he told us a valuable lesson: "This isn't the end, it's a brand new begin because danger is always around the corner, so go protect skylands"
My bestfriend I grew up with would always come over to my place and we would play this all night and day, we loved this game. damn I hope he's still ok but judging by the context rest in piece 😞
We restored the core of light.
We stopped Kaos from getting his hands on the iron fist of arkus.

We have saved skylands so many times...
