So, the best option in this case would be to not choose hand select if you want a blued model.. or you may get lucky and get a hand select super nice blued one"

It’s funny to me that in your next video on this pistol after having seen some of them you seem to have gained an even higher appreciation for just how beautiful yours is 😂 At this point I think I’d rather shell out for one on gunbroker or something. I’d rather pay a premium to get exactly what I want instead of playing the lottery because like you’ve said in some of these other comments, there is a high likelihood that many of the nicer “very good” condition examples have been snatched by now. Congratulations on yours brother I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
@@sidneywhite749 I did when the original Beretta OEM mags (15 rounds) were in stock (not in stock right now 12/17/24) with classic firearms but the 17 rounds are in stock too or the 18 rd by Mec-Gar (recommended as well). They should be able to ship those to your home if you mention you already placed an order so they can fix your shipping fee.

I paid for hand select but I had kinda resigned myself to the fact that I was likely gonna get a Bruniton model after seeing a lot of reviews of them. Needless to say I was pretty stoked to see that mirror blued finish when I lifted the foam in the box. I have 8 Beretta 92/M9 models including a 92G LTT Elite, M9A3, 92X & 92FS. My first 92 model was a surplus 92S model with the European mag release on the heel. It was the only blued model I owned & is in pretty nice condition as well. I always loved it but the blued SB has been on my wish list for years as I wanted the blued model with the modern mag release & now I finally have one & I can honestly say it’s my new fav in my 92 collection. So Classic has brought me full circle with my Beretta 92 collection now. Anyways, I’m rambling but saw your video pop up again so thought I‘d jump on to let you know I did alright man & rewatch your vid too haha. Thanks for the review & enjoy that Italian beauty!!

I paid for hand select, was kinda disappointed. Didn't even get one with bluing, got a 1986 with the bruniton or baked on, enamel whatever, big blotches of paint or something over the worn finish. It works but I wanted a blued Beretta. Maybe I'll try again without hand select and sell the other one or both of I'm not happy with them

I guess you just got lucky, I put some old vz grips I had in the parts box on and an extended magazine release, and a Wilson combat hammer and it made it better for me. It is surplus not new and it kicked me in the ass to get my dad's 92 ghost looking right. He bought it back in 2000 and never shot it and now I've had it 5 years and it just sits there.

The Nocturne is the gen2 version and isn't as widely vetted as the original P09, or P07 ( the P09 Nocturne compact is the updated P07) that said I still love CZ, just pointing out there's a difference between P09 and the P09 Nocturne.
I finally got mine from my FFL today after it's been in their possession for over a month. I paid the extra $35 and I must say the gun is in pristine condition, looks like it was hardly used. The quality of workmanship of the firearm is bar non...I can't wait to get to get to the range tomorrow.
That's a beautiful example. I ordered one but got either a late production bruniton model or a factory refurbished gun. I really can't tell which. Either way I'd love to get myself a blued example but I don't know if I can justify spending another $400 without being certain I could get a classic 92SB. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking if you tried for a blued example now that you'll get one but in fairly rough condition as what I've seen on the classic firearm website reviews. Pure speculation on my part but I would recommend just calling classic and asking straight forward what examples they got left generally speaking on the blued ones vs the bruniton models.
Do you know if your slide (underneath) has the long "FS" cut on the left side to fit the larger FS hammer pin? I looked underneath when I took my slide off, and was surprised to find that it does, alongside with a larger hammer pin( sticking up the top of the left side grip)! Mine seems to have a Bruniton/M9 type finish, not blued like yours, but still in very nice cosmetic shape. Have not shot mine yet but so far very impressed.

I'm trying to find a video on this with the bruniton finish but it's hard to find. Kinda wish I had one of those too since it's also a rarity within a rarity. Glad you shared. Thanks sir
I paid for hand select. Mine had more frame wear in comparison. Was hoping mine would have looked more closely to what classic firearms had on the video but overall still happy. Always wanted an Italian beretta.
@@Novik1982 I think it would be more fair to those that pay to get whatever best example is available instead of a random cull of 10 (which is why I didn't really care for the option). Still, I hope you're satisfied with your beretta as I am. Never thought of getting one really but now I feel very embarrassed of not wanting it sooner
@@Pavia1525 no can do. It's a classic and the last thing I want to do is change add or substitute anything on it, even if it's reversible. I have no qualms about the safety as is, also I have other pistols for more serious use
you want a better trigger pull put in a 14lb hammer spring and a slightly heavier recoil spring big difference I have done it to my beretta taurus and girsan 92 enjoy

I don't blame you, even people with good examples, really were sold on the idea that these would be pristine when in fact they weren't. Hopefully they do better another time with maybe a better price cut to reflect the average fair build many people usually get.
I might not do hand select either. After seeing other reviews and comments on TH-cam, it is just luck of the draw for sure. Hopefully all of the good ones aren’t gone. I see Classic is the only one that has these in stock right now.
@@JR-yn4cu at this point I would wager on just one without hand select since I suspect the overwhelming majority picked that option already and culled though the majority of very good examples. I still think I got lucky but compared with another hand drawn unboxing I saw, it was easy to see a few imperfections that the person overlooked (probably due to excitement) and since I got a regular draw my expectations were very low and I was looking for every possible thing to give a sort of worse case scenario example, which still turned out good for me. Just want to be as transparent as possible so people can go in as informed as can be. Good luck Sir
Thank u sir. My sentiments exactly. I also figure that if I want a nice example of a Beretta, I’m going to spend up and not rely on surplus. This is just a cheaper way to get the Beretta fix and to get a version of the 92 that is no longer produced.

I purchased one yours looks way better than Mine. But mine wasn't bad and it shoots great. I've been running 92fs and M9 mags in it.
