Amazing! I've always dreamt of having a display area for 1/1 replica helmets and cowls, and 89' Batman is definitely on the dream list! Congrats on this steal! It's definitely awesome!
It's not meant to be movie perfect as it's a display only piece, it can't be worn. That's the main reason for the differences, especially the thickness. These were deliberate design choices to make the cowl more ridged so it doesn't collapse without a mannequin underneath. The movie cowls that can be worn need a mannequin to be displayed (check any Batman movie exhibition for proof). Most people don't want a mannequin for just a cowl so this a great alternative.
@acurisur that's no reason to get the nose wrong. That's clearly them not doing their research correctly. All that needed was a solid piece of plastic under the nose. Even a very cheap rubber mask got that right.

Hello, I'm also getting Batman delivered I'm thinking about the cabinet, how wide is your shoulder?
It’s about 22 1/2 to 23 inches
It's not movie perfect. The nose should be covered underneath. The ears are too rounded on the tips. And the thickness of this is all wrong.
