My first pair of 705s are going on 13 years of use in men's league, pond hockey, and open skate. Still lots of life even after all those years. Just picked up another pair and couldn't imagine using anything else.
I have Graf 502s (they are less expensive than 705s) and they are an excellent skate. I bought my 502s slightly used and it only took one skate to form them to my feet with no pain spots after that. The 502s have a suede inner ankle liner which I think is best for forming around back of foot and ankle - can't beat natural materials sometimes. I tried on new Bauer Vapor Flite skates($300) and they hurt my outer ankles so I am sticking with the Graf 502s.
I just returned my Easten S15's because they don't fit my feet correctly and were extremely painful. Picked up a set of Supra 735 ix since they are the same price and wow its a great skate. So happy with it. I can actually skate without pain and its an aggressive skate still.
Can I say thankyou for going to the trouble to give me your review. I'm 45 and still like to skate in Melbourne, last week I was skating and broke my skate holder/Chassie... CCM skates I'm now going for the Graf 705 because I just want an affordable skate every sunday down at Oakleigh Ice Skating Rink, Melbourne Australia, thankyou again for giving such an honest opinion, by the way they are costing $799.00AUD Regards Darren
Question, I've been looking at Grafs and thinking about maybe getting 735's or 703's but I read that Grafs have a tight boot and a more narrow one but I have wide feet and a tight boot but not too tight. So is there any comments you have on them or any other Graf skates?
asking in 2024, how many sizes do you go down for Graf? I do a 9/D in 2002 era Bauer Vapors and 8.5/D in CCM Tacks from 1999 or 2000, I am between a 10-10.5 mens shoe size. Graf appeal to me because I like leather boots so much that I buy 20+ year old skates on Ebay, some are servicable but it would be nice to buy a new pair of skates.
@ChristopherRobin94 the 7s may be a step down from the g series. but they are a step up from the x 60's. NHL players still use this skate even though they get no compensation. also there is no pro stock graf what you buy is what the nhl players buy. the retail x60 and the prostock x60 are two totaly differnt skates.
These skates, and the 703, are the classic hockey skate. I have the 703 model and if you are a barefoot skater like me, the 705 and 703 are the way to go. So comfortable!!! Just make sure you pick the one that's right for your foot shape.
i wouldn't skate with any other brand. Graf are solid skates! Once broken in they'll last for years, comfortable, average weight, and well constructed. I own the 705 and 727 skates and think they're the best.
damn 120? its like 60 bucks here in arizona!. the whole negative feedback i get is because the tuuks make people stand straight and back on their heels. i cant say i had a blast on my first two times with the skates, and havent had time between school and homework to go back to the rink.but i felt i was gonna fall forward. But im used to the ccm holders not the newer Epro more like the ones on tacks
i played a game tonight and i must say i was much more comfortable, i have shitty arch problems but that forever will be the problem, but these skates i might just stick with the cobras, they werent too bad at all
really? and 50 hours? suddenly i miss working at a hockey rink now. how much did the tuuk's run you? i keep getting lots of negative feedback and about 30 percent positive feedback on tuuks
The big difference between the Graf boot and the Bauer boot. Graf skates have a high cut boot, Bauer are low cut. If you have skinny ankle's you prob would be better off with the Bauer skate. I wish Graf would make a high cut boot, I love the traditional look of Graf skates!!
graf is the greatest because they have a good and a better version of each sizing and style of skate, not like other brands that start low and just go up
i just bought mine and they sent the wrong size and wont take a return, how lame, half a size too small isnt too bad but theyre still great skates, problem is getting used to the leaning forward runner
Cosmic eggs I have some. They're not as stiff as a lot of the top skates out now because they're not composite. They're definitely not soft or squishy though
Whoaaaa hahaha some is lacking a sense of humour! So much for a sarcastic, light-hearted commented being taken as that. Next time I need skate advice I'll be sure to swing by Mexico.

I'm trying to buy a pair but can't find my size anywhere online.
Love love Grafs. Finally got a pair and they are just amazing. So underappreciated.
I've had my 705s for three years now and they are most comfortable skates I've ever owned so far.

I just got the skate today geting it profiled then on the ice tomorow in the middle of the summer
@Thrashersfan101 there is a seven series graf for every foot shape.

how wide the heel compare to Rbk? could you make any video review on 735? if possible, includes comparison to other skates. thx

Do you have any thoughts on Supras 307 or 535 head to head? Thanks.
i have the GRAF 370's they r Amazing skates i love them !

thats the lower end model i believe, its still a good skate if youre doing recreational leagues.
i played a game tonight and i must say i was much more comfortable, i have shitty arch problems but that forever will be the problem, but these skates i might just stick with the cobras, they werent too bad at all
do a review of the new g75 ultra
i have this skate for a year now and they still look brand new and i tran 4 - 6 hours a week
what are the sizing guidelines on these? I am 10.75-11 in shoe size. Would 9 be too short?
I think u confused some people in this because they never acually stoped useing cp93 because there made in canada so therefore they can still use cp93
how are grafs for protecting against lace bite
so comparing the x60's to the 705's still isn't really a fair comparison im my opinion, but thanks for clearing that up.
so will this skates fit better for flat arches person? i wonder why no one ever give some reviews about arch on skates...
really? and 50 hours? suddenly i miss working at a hockey rink now. how much did the tuuk's run you? i keep getting lots of negative feedback and about 30 percent positive feedback on tuuks
Compared to the Bauer x.4 how are these?
@jskilladakilla nope there made in calgary
Where can I order a 7W

I have only ever wore Graf and Baur it's a very hard decision between the two
From what i understand the G series are there top of the line skates, the 7's are a step down.
@wallis222 ok thanks a lot dude, this was really helpful.
guys can you review the 709 skate by graf?
wud u reccomend graf skates over bauer
are these skates better or vapor 60s are better?

cool
To help out some viewers out there companies out there will use weight to market there products its about perforce trust me grafs r the best
how much are those?
weird shape of skates the toe of the blade is really big on them.
How stiff is the boot?
Cosmic eggs I have some. They're not as stiff as a lot of the top skates out now because they're not composite. They're definitely not soft or squishy though
my dad has those but has a t blade
@Lukaz432 what
@Angelos99990 LETS GO CANADA!!!!!!
canookify I just got a pair today for $140
Whoaaaa hahaha some is lacking a sense of humour! So much for a sarcastic, light-hearted commented being taken as that. Next time I need skate advice I'll be sure to swing by Mexico.
Lesson learned: If you want good feedback about hockey equipment, don't ask people in Arizona! Ask a Canadian!
thats not too bad I guess
I love the way they look, i have XXXX's, now those things are ugly.
you cant really compare the 705's to x60's. 705's aren't the top of the line graf skate.
@Angelos99990 There Not You Obviously dont Play Hockey
every vid he has has 1 dislike
these skates look ugly, they look old. 1975 kind of grapix:S
