In Finnish, hunger can be expressed in various ways. "Minulla on nälkä." Literal translation "I have a hunger". This is more common and it's okay to use, but it can sometimes turn out a bit rude, as it can kind of sound like you're expecting others to go find you the food. "Minä olen nälkäinen." I am hungry, in a polite textbook-ish way. You will not hear this spoken very often. "Minua nälättää" = Literal translation "[it] is hungering me" This is more colloquial and should not be used in a written standard language.
