YESSSSSS!!! I agree on the “committing “ to one aesthetic!! I tried finding a good pair or faux leather leggings for the LONGEST time because all of the ones I could fine would only be half leather, or leather in the front and not the back, etc. 🙄

I really like your videos! I bought that torrid skirt right away along with a few other items for fall. I'm also pear shaped so it makes me really happy to find a skirt that is cute and flouncy but still covers enough. Your design sense and personality are everything, love your videos so much!

I am a knitter, spinner, natural fiber (sheep, alpaca, cashmere, angora, cotton, flax, linen, etc.) person. While alpaca is a warm luxurious fiber, it is known for not holding it's shape. We as knitters pick alpaca if we want something to have a nice "drape". Thought i'd share the knowledge=)

I'm just going to vent really quickly because I trust that you wont take this personally and you may even agree a little.
I feel that the plus size community has moved away from size exclusivity and towards pure consumerism. All I see from my favorite plus size baddies are hauls. I am so damn tired of haul videos. Not because they aren't great, but because i get this sense of i need to have the latest and greatest. I need to buy more. Ana, I know you never preach buying what you haul and I am in no way targeting you. I just feel that this is a safe space to voice my frustrations.
I started watching plus size "influencers" to learn how to be chic in the body I currently have. It seems that since fashion styling isn't what gets the views, people don't do them. I have all these fabulous individual items I've gotten from seeing others hauls, and no idea how i can style them differently. Ana I want to thank you for making videos like "One Dress Styled 10 Different Ways" and your fun look books, because those videos rae the only fashion creativity I am seeing (unless their are other plus size fashion youtubers who do the same, then recommend a few to yo gurl). Ana Just keep being your crazy self and please post more fashion creativity videos. I know they are long and tedious to make, but we gotta change the plus size fashion game soon. My bank account cant handle the pressure of newness anymore. But i do adore you. you make me smile with every upload
P.S im still over here waiting for a "How to complement your skin tone" video. I need to know if i look as good as i think i do in orange and olive. lol
I agree with everything you said! I'm tired of hauls and looking for inspiration on styling pieces I have now. I have been feeling greedy with the amount of clothing and accessories I have. So moving past the "gotta have it" mentality.

Wow. I never thought about what you said but yeah...I see that. I like that they share stores where we can shop and designers that are branching out but you're right. I cannot even remember the last time I actually could go shopping. I need some more lookbook b/c God knows that I need to shop my own closet.

That Madewell sweater is so nice! It's a bit stretched out right now, but wool and alpaca have a bit of a memory to them so it can go back to how it was before. Either hand wash it or on a gentle setting, lay it down on a towel and roll it up like a piece of sushi then squish out the excess water, lay it flat to dry, and kinda shape it back to how you want it to be shaped. (Sorry I knit, a lot, and I love natural fibres for their characteristics so much. Wool and alpaca are great fibres, and alpaca will actually keep you super warm in winter)
I knit as well so when she said wool and alpaca I immediately thought of how cozy it would be!

Girlfriend Collective!!! I'm obsessed with them and the fact they are recycled materials. I'm so glad you tried them. I highly recommend trying their leggings I usually wear an 18 in jeans and a XL in their leggings!

Question: what do you do with all the clothes? If I get something new, I typically get rid of something old/worn. Are you constantly getting rid of stuff or does your wardrobe just get larger and larger? It must be hard to choose what to wear with so many choices!

I bought an amazing grey dress for my best friends funeral. It’s gorgeous. Can’t get myself to wear it again. It has sat in my closet for 5 years and I haven’t worn it again! Maybe one day.
Loved the haul. Not sure why I watch because I love all the clothes and as a non-plus sized person I don’t fit into 1/2 of them 🤦🏻♀️
Maybe wear that dress in remembrance of your friend on special days for her: her birthday, to a place you each enjoyed, and her favorite holiday. Is there a new way you could wear it: shawl or scarf draped over it; if it has buttons, change those out; take to a tailor or seamstress to alter it slightly; does a blazer or jacket change up the looks so that you can wear the dress with another purpose and not a reminder of the only time you wore it.
Oh, and I see the comment all the time on fashion videos on TH-cam....the "I am not your size but love your videos...but love your energy...but love your style...but love your presentations...but love your knowledge of clothes and fabrics...but love you told me about design lines I never knew....but love you showed how to shop vintage", etc.
I follow a lot of bloggers who are not my size but I love their content for the reasons above. I can still learn so much from them and feel inspired by them. So I am glad when I see that the bloggers' message goes beyond their initial "size audience". I think those comments encourage them to keep putting out their videos and fashion joy.

Seriously, you need to do a Rebel Wilson haul! I have a pair of Rebel Wilson jeans. I got them in a Dia & Co. Box. They fit like they were tailored for me and have quickly become my favorite pair. I also have a tee short that is so well made and buttery soft. Yes, the stuff is pricy, but omg, it's so nice!

Alpaca grows like mad, wash, dry in the dryer until almost dry, then lay flat to finish, it should tighten up. Until it stretches again.
That is one of my favorite reasons to knit with it haha it's so comfy and has such a beautiful drape. I could see how some people would be turned off by this though
