    Used to watch this wrestling every Saturday afternoon on my local wttv channel four Indianapolis tv station back in the 1970's and I have to say Sam Menacker was one of the best commentators ever ,it was much better than today's drama,but don't remember ever seeing Andre on there back then,but used to see him on the cover of wrestling magazines and would wonder man who the the heck is that guy?Never actually saw him wrestle until WWF in the 1980's but by then he was just about past his prime.

    I far as I can figure the first match is around 1976, because the announcer said that Andre played Bigfoot in a TV show recently. He (Andre) play Bigfoot on The Six Million Dollar Man in 1976.

    • @aldonelson5757
      @aldonelson5757 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought Andrew did Bigfoot about 1977 or 1978

    • @ronaldbaldwin4505
      @ronaldbaldwin4505 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andre portrayed Bigfoot in February 1976. There were 2 more episodes with Bigfoot later on. But, on those subsequent appearances in 1977 and 78. Ted Cassidy who portrayed "lurch" on the Addams family portrayed Bigfoot.
