Honestly all these measurements are approximate measurements for a child... If your baby is a chunky baby or a smaller baby theses measurements won't work.... I did follow the measurements for my daughter when she was 1 and the clothes were to big..
Best advice I could give u is to measure your baby and write it down, then use her measurements for your baby's age make 2 outfits from scrap fabric and see which one works better...
