Barely beat wake forest with Barrett and Redish, also by one point as wake missed the final shot.
Barely beat UNC, also a miss at the horn.
UNC is the best in the land, as we spread the ball around, and don't depend solely on two guys (R.J. and Zion).
Mark my words, when Duke go down, look at the box score.
Zion and R.J. are in double figures, Cam may sniff double figures, and very little scoring from anyone else !!

I haven’t been into basketball for years, but I watched the end of this game last night, and it was amazing. I was rooting for Duke and they won

if you slow down the video you can tell the ball didn't go in, but it does look like it did at first
it wouldn't have gone in. it's hard because of the camera angle; when it pops out, it's coming toward the camera so you can't really tell, but you can see 15's hand extending to the right side of the rim to catch the ball and try to put it back in

I watched that replay 4 times and Rj had a placement hand on him thats it. I never saw a push out of all those shots. That is an extremely hard call because the defender didn't even box him out. So its unfortunate. They still did good. Rj also didn't box him out on the very next play that could have won them the game.

@@ofw1599 if they said there was not enough evidence to make a decision either way, then that takes "obviously" completely out of the equation; there is no way to determine if the rotation would have been influenced by a tap or a graze in that moment; in the end it is simply up to a judgement call by the ref, and they said play on

They get free college plus scholarships. Sure you can't call it salary per say, but their savings add up to pretty huge amounts of money.
Besides, how is the young generation supposed to learn the value of work and money if they get paid at each level just to be entertaining. Sports on every level is entertaining in its own way, and why stop at sports? While we're at it, lets pay middle school kids who are good at anything just because it's entertaining. No wonder millenials are so entitled.

Look at youtube don't need a college degree to get paid. You ask any sports college student and they will all agree the scholarship doesn't equal to any real kind of savings. They are one and done for a reason. Let the rules be the same in football and they would leave after the first season too. It's not fair for these students to bust their behinds only for the universities to profit millions off of them only to receive a scholarship not really worth much at all. When they leave school they use their talents to build on and some become more successful. It's rare to see them profit off of their "degree".
Dude they get a free ride for college. Not many people can see they went to college and played for them. Not everyone MAKES the NBA. And the ones that do get drafted, a lot fall off. If they wanted to get compensated they can always play oversees in Lithuania or something .

1- Student debt is much higher then you know and is a much bigger problem for ALL students (other than the free riders) than you could ever realise. How do you not realise how ridiculously expensive school is? Were you on a free ride as well?
2- If those student athletes (reread STUDENT athletes, student comes first) decide to not take their schooling seriously, to not finish their degree or to not actively search for employment in that field of study (instead of their prefered sport), they might profit more from their "degree". What's with the " - " anyways? EVERY student athlete should have a backup plan because you're always ONE INJURY AWAY from losing that athletic career.....thats usually what the degree is for.
3- Getting paid to play a game by definition makes you a PROFESSIONAL athlete. College kids are not professionals. They are actually just getting educated to hopefully one day find a profession or career. If the NCAA kids get paid to play sports, people who didn't make an actual pro league could just become a professional students and make a living going to college for the rest of their lives.....dumb idea.

Zions last basket on Taco was a charge. Ref threw the game.
Should've been called when he spun on the first defender his shoulder is dropped and the guy falls. Charge there. Either call that foul or a no call on Tacka. He was straight up and down and Zion went into his chest. The refs got Tacka out so that Duke then had size. That sets up the rebound and put back. No rim protection. Refs always giving Duke a way out. No way they let UCF win this game with all the revenue that Zion is bringing in. Ridiculous. I really hope Duke gets blown out in the next round.
Guess what don't rely on the refs for those types of calls at the end of the game, and also UCF had 2 chances at the end to win it smh

Mike do u remember the Laettner game against Kentucky and because of his step on Timberlake he gets villified bec ppl thought he should have been ejected and it was Duke that won but on the play before no one seemed to notice Laettner getting shoved in the back into the stantion by Feldhaus (and it was a legit shove) of Kentucky that got missed or was made irrelevant by what Laettner did in retaliation! Had another guy from another program done that it wouldn't be talked about ad nauseum! Yes he was the starting two guard from 1982-83 thru 1985-86! His recruitment changed the fabric of the Duke program under Coach K! In '85-'86, I was in eighth grade when Duke finally made the Final Four! It was awesome for those of us fans who had gone thru the lean three yr period from '81-'83! They were at that point finally legit! Dawkins and his fellow classmates gave us hope!

This show that Duke is not going be a final four team
UCF had a unique advantage over Duke. Duke normally isn't a great 3-point shooting team, so UCF was able to keep it close by denying them a lot of chances in the paint and then dominating in the paint on the other side, but no other team has the sheer size of UCF. Tacko is 7'6, and their power forward Collin Smith is 6'11. They made it really hard for Duke to score in the paint like they wanted to, but no one else can put up a challenge like that.

For all you people that want to talk about how bad Duke is for only beating a 9 seed by 1 point, let’s look back at the end of this game.
1. No call on a clear shot clock violation. Ball never touched rim, it was obvious, but the referees didn’t know what to do, so they let it go.
2. Duke down 4, about a minute left. DOWN 4. UCF had the lead. Reddish hits a clutch 3. 1 point game.
2. Foul. UCF hits 2 clutch free throws, so they keep a 3 point lead with around 40 seconds left.
3. Zion comes up with a clutch and 1. Tacko fouls out. Yes, it was a foul on Tacko. The guard also flopped, and that’s why there was a no call.
4. Zion misses the free throw. Barrett gets a lucky rebound off of the lucky bounce off the rim. He gets an easy 2. Duke by 1.
5. Taylor misses a floater with under 5 on the clock, and Aubrey Dawkins comes out of nowhere to go for a putback layup. It rolls out. Buzzer sounds. Game over.
This is a basketball game. Duke was down 4 with time running out, but clutch plays are the reason they won. So yeah, they won by 1 point, but they had to make a late comeback to even win this game.
UCF missing a ally oops with the lead and that hurt UCF bad but still UCF got some bum calls in that final minute and or no calls including their final shot where contact was clearly shown. Other points: Barrett was is in the lane to early off the missed ZW free throw and their is a foul across the floor not called either probably because its away from the point of action. Refs called a poor inconsistent game. Dukes is also very much like ND football when it comes to calls in key game on the line situations. T.V rating and sports bettings win, fans of the game losers
