As you mentioned, the ending feels boring because the slow songs are meant to show how things calm down after all the partying. It's like the quiet time after the fun is over, when you're by yourself. This choice makes a clear contrast with the lively, upbeat songs from earlier, showing the natural slow-down after excitement. It reflects how life goes, with happy moments often followed by quiet and thoughtfulness.
I think that’s fine from a concept wise but I’d like the songs to feel a bit more filled out in that case!

People have always been too critical of Camila’s music, idk if it’s cause she came from a girl group or just people dislike her in general but I’d say her music speaks for itself.

When you get used to basic pop music that’s what you expect it’s not a pop ablum it’s a pop/rap ablum almost having its own genre….. go into the listen with that mind set and the visuals she gives it’s not for everyone not hate if you don’t understand it but it has concept when you listen to it top to bottom.. it’s very different from most albums you hear it’s definitely not for those with commercial taste
totally agree, it’s not supposed to be a straightforward pop album. Sounds like she’s experimenting with her sound and trying new things

I honestly really enjoy the songs I just hate that it had quite a few intros and wish it had more different people in the collabs but it isn’t a terrible album 🤷🏽♀️

I liked your review, bro, short and sweet! Will admit I didn’t love this album as much as her debut one, but I do see how people are blowing it way out of proportion too, like it is the worst thing in the world, when it isn’t. Overall, I’d rate it 6 out of 10. Some tracks are good, others are okay, and others feel kind of lackluster, such as “I LUV IT”. I have to confess I really don’t like the mainstream rap much, and it feels kind of forced at times, and most of the rappers are just mumbling so much, I can hardly even tell what the heck they’re saying. It doesn’t feel smooth, like a Linkin Park or Blackpink song for example, where rap segments are inserted strategically, it just feels like it is just slapped in without much thought. Not horrible or anything, just pretty rough. Plus wasn’t used to Camila’s music being so raunchy (I am looking at you, JT) which is mostly due to the rappers, so I do think this album will be very polarizing for a lot of Camila’s fans. Another thing that stood out to me is how Camila’s voice is way more airy than it was before; not bad or anything, just different, and will take some getting used to. Overall a mixed bag, but still does have some highlights that I could see myself putting in my playlist. 👍

I listened to the album this morning. I was so confused about the production because it felt like there was like 6 different instrumental changes (obviously this is over exaggerated) but it felt like it was pretty much a mess with thrown in changes. I did really dislike the amount of autotune that was on every single vocal apart from one song (i forgot the name). But it felt like she didnt want to put her vocals out at all
instrumental switch ups and autotune are very normal in genres like hyperpop and I’m very familiar with the genre so to be honest I didn’t see either of those as a negative

@@ROOKIETHESTAR I feel like the brat comparisons are weird, considering how much time leading the project up, I haven’t listened to brat at all, Brat was released June 7, we had C,XOXO, title long ago, and we’ve had I LUV IT and HE KNOWS, for months now, why are we comparing these two projects anyway? I don’t even understand why people who don’t know the samples or haven’t even listened to the album and properly examined the music somehow now have a music critiquing masters degree.
Even Camila herself denied the album being anything close to hyper pop she said the closest is a few seconds before Carti’s verse on I LUV IT, I think people are being genuinely too harsh on camila, half of twitter haven’t even listened to a single song on the album besides I LUV IT, seriously just digest the music before saying what everyone else with twitter heads have to say

Listened to the album. It's bad. The first two albums are a 10/10. This is 2/10 for the effort. It's overprduced, besides Camila herself nobody can sing/rap or whatever they are doing. Even as background music it doesn't work. Drake is a disaster, why people think he can sing or rap is a mystery to me. Also need to mention Playboy Carti. Was he in an accident? Did he lost the ability to speak? What tf was that?
There is a lack of dynamics, it's a wall of sound crashing down on you. The producer should be ashamed. It's a display of everything that is wrong with producers these days. I didn't check but autotune. Camila doesn't need autotune but still it sounds like they used it as a basis.
For me only nr4 He Knows ft Lil Nas X is worth listening too. Lil Nas X is the only one besides Camila who actually knows his trade. It's a 6/10. The rest of the songs are shit and can be ignored.
What is good:
The artwork is 10/10. I love the artwork. Camila looks beautiful on every picture. She makes me happy. Who ever was involved in the artwork should be very proud. This artwork will be on the background as a wallpaper on many devices for a long time.
Also the pink vinyl version of the album must be mentioned. A beauty.
Waiting for Camila to realize she doesn't need collaborations with b-class artists/rappers. She is fully able to be the number 1 of the world all on her own. Please Camila do it your own next time.
Hands the worst album I've ever heard in my entire life... Can't even name one ok track, her voice sounds beyond terrible in it, generic af melodies and beats, no creativity whatsoever and bullshit lyrics. How can people actually like this garbage of an album? I really don't get it.

Im camila fan and i hate rap and i get DRAKE SINGLE on album, 30 min songs, i think u can get it if u are not fan. What is good in this album ?
