On how to take anything & turn it into some unique & classy beautiful. I've finally seen all the videos that I've missed over the last month & I'm blown away by everything you do. The little cart & the sweet pink bunny pillow are just precious ,the big GORGEOUS Easter basket along with the little flower bench are like nothing I've ever seen. Your daughter is just as talented as her momma. I'm going to be showing my niece those creations, I Kno that she will be over the rainbow when she gets to make them, great gift for grandparents or aunt's &uncle's. And she's absolutely right, butter dose make everything better! Please thank her for sharing her talent with all of us.🐰 I lost two friends a week apart in Feb completely unexpected, Today is the first day of not being numb, your videos are so uplifting & just beautiful. I love the rose print and frame just as it is. It adds some dimension to the room amongst the lighter colors. Love the milk glass lamp, too! I once scored a hobnail milk glass lamp (base and shade) at the thrift store. It was in great shape, but I did have it re-wired for safety sake. I have it in my `girly girl` vintage chic guestroom, aka my little hideout! : )

It’s warm & inviting, soft, flowy, dainty & chic. But not overly frilly. It’s classy, super high end looking and oh so pristine!…

Question: When painting a piece white, do you do a combo of sand AND paint distressing on that one piece or do you pick one technique to use throughout the whole piece?
I’m getting ready to paint my dining set white and love the dark antique distressing. But I also love the worn down look. So idk if I should pick one or the other, do both or use different techniques on different pieces (ie: paint distress my hutch and sand distress my dining table & chairs).
This is literally the only thing holding me back & it’s soooo frustrating because I know I’m totally overthinking this.
Second question, do you know of any videos off the top of your head, that show a full view of your dining rooms?

Good morning Sweetie. Everything just looks lovely. For the rose painting, I would dry brush the stand and frame with white, or Cream and let some of the gold peek through. To me, it is just a little harsh so bright gold with all the pastel. Great video once again. ❤️💕

I absolutely LOVE the juxtaposition of the rose picture's gold frame and easel against the white furniture. It is striking!! Usually I see gilt items with wood furniture and they get lost against the wood. The rose print itself speaks my language. I wouldn't change a thing about it, but that's me. The basket turned out too cute!! I love the chairs, too. It is amazing to see how simple changes can make a piece look totally different. I recently rescued a similar lamp when cleaning out my mother-in-law's house. It has an amber glass base and I wasn't so sure about it but once I brought it home I just love it!

Liv I wish I had your creativity! I had a lamp like that in my booth and left it like that and it took forever to sell. It looks so pretty painted😍Love the chairs and the setup. I love the little rose picture but I feel like it’s overwhelming that space with the brightness to it and distracting from the other pieces maybe something more subtle and move that to a space where you have more color. Everything you touch is absolutely gorgeous though gahhhh gurrrllll😜 Can’t wait for the coastal. I’m still working on my living room in Charleston and it’s pretty much shabby coastal . I’ve done it from thrift store, second hand finds, some inexpensive pieces here and there. The thrift stores here closer to beach areas have great finds for that. My bedroom I’m working on here is the complete opposite of my pastel shabby at home it’s dark, almost Victorian. We’re painting a vintage French provincial bedroom suite a medium gray and the curtains are deep indigo with black velvet flocking in a baroque pattern. We’re using the gray, black and indigo. I’m going to try to recreate a Victorian lamp I saw with black lace and a cameo and crystals and do a wall of vintage frames, mirrors and prints. The process is slow but fun when you’re digging for treasures😛 I chalk painted the downstairs finds with gray then did the hardware creamy white and distressed it even the hardware. I’m loving the gray with the creamy white accent too! Have a great day love, stay blessed💕😘🤗

I am also super stubborn and refuse to pay retail prices for things you can find anywhere. So off to the thrift store I go, lol!!!!!!!!! Anyhoo, I need to shop it up for coastal. We actually live by the lake so I am going to figure out what kind of coastal vibe I want to go for. Happy decorating darling! AWSOME make overs Olivia 💕💐🌹🌷🌺. I too LOVE re doing old furniture and making it new and fabulous! Also I’m sure I’ve said it before but YES RHONDAS ROSE COTTAGE CAKES are FANTASTIC!! I have 2 and she sent the little extras as well and I purchased the little pink cross she decorated with her hand made roses as well . I love the furniture, it is all so pretty. I know its been a long time but I hope you left the rose picture alone. It really stands out surrounded by all the white furniture. It gives something for the eyes to go to and rest on. I think I am coming around to the white furniture. I bought a low entertainment center to use as a coffee table. It's solid wood, black & seen better days. So I got white chalk paint and I hope to complete that this summer. I also have a bench that I just love but the cats have scratched the wood climbing all over it and I plan on using the chalk paint on it as well. Who knows I may do everything else too. The end tables I got for very little at my church garage sale could use some love too. Thanks Olivia,, Your style is really changing my way of looking at my home.

God I'm amazed at how clean you paint I paint myself and i get pretty messy but I paint more on canvas than furniture the frame would look great in snow white with a hint of rose gold but everything looks Devine

What a great find with the little jacket, and was pure genius to use it the way you did! I'm flipping out over that! Lol I have been known to redo a project once, twice or maybe even 5 times before it ends up being presentable. They seem to look so much better in my mind's eye than real life!

Olivia, I have used homemade chalk paint on many items in my house that are used a lot! I find that if you wax the item after painting it the paint stand up very well!

Olivia, enjoy your video's. You asked about your gold framed rose featured picture. I think you should keep it as is. It adds a pop of color and draws the eye to that table display. My Mother grew up on a Pennsylvania farm in the early 1900's. She inherited some of the pieces from the farm. That picture reminds me of some of their picture frames. If it is too shiny for you, some frames had a light touch of a black wash that dulled down the shine. Not too much black though. Also, leave the picture stand as is. Showing a little prosperity on the "farm" would be a nice touch, maybe brought over from "the old country", in a small suitcase on the ship they arrived in.

Love the basket with the ruffle and buttons; so clever, Olivia. I would keep the gold frame as it is, you need some other color beside white. After seeing your little cakes, I ordered four and they are on a clear cake plate with a clear, glass cover in my kitchen. Just love them!
