Just did a trip to New Plymouth and back to Pukekohe. 322km each way Stayed at the Devon Hotel which has free charging. left the hotel with 100% and got home with 17% Got the car mid Nov 2021 One Way Trip 322km used 47kWh Avg 145 Wh/km
That sounds like the great trip and awesome to see that you’re supporting the hotels with EV charging 🙂 We averaged slightly more than that on our recent 5,000km road trip around the country (video under works for that)
Awesome video! I have been using ABRP and PlugShare for a while now but I didn’t know about the food filter option! Definitely will be trying that next time haha
Yeah it’s actually so cool especially when you know exactly where you will be stopping over for lunch. ABRP will take this into consideration and recommend a longer charging stop at that location 🙂
I just got to say, A better root planner sucks. It does not take in account the roughly 25% of chargers that are not working. In driving a nissan leaf from San Francisco to Portland I found charge connect app irreplacable.
Thanks for sharing your experience David. The performance I think may have to do with where in the world you're located. I'm in New Zealand and have had a great experience using ABRP at least here in NZ.
If you look at the reviews for the ABRP have as many one stars as 5. I used it until it took me way out of the way one time. I spent an extra 90 minutes on the road because of that poorly written app. Many others could complain about the same issues.

Getting ready for my winter road trip. Thanks for the tips. Liked and subbed

This App is really amazing. Loaded with information & easy to use.👌👍
Glad it helped 🙂
I thought i had a great ideea, but I will still do it. You will add me as a 3th option maybe this year :D
That's awesome, go for it! I would love to test out your solution and keen to find out what your idea is 😀

They don’t have 2022 model y option in the app yet 😖
Oh really? They should add it soon with app updates over time. You can just use the 2021 model y option as that would get you the closest estimates 🙂
