- Can I beat Pokémon Scarlet with Hardcore Nuzlocke rules - using ONLY RANDOMIZED pokemon? (No items, No overleveling, Set mode)
HARDCORE NUZLOCKE RULES:
1. Only one Pokemon per area
2. If a Pokemon faints it must be boxed
3. I cannot overlevel beyond the Gym leaders ace
4. No items in battle (held items are okay)
5. No duplicate species can be caught
6. Must nickname Pokemon

Should have made it clear that I wanted to stick to NEW Pokémon only in this run, although if you guys like randomizers I can do a Violet run and use all of them! Also, I'm thinking of keeping the new layout, so I hope you all prefer that!

Anyone else notice the moves of the pokémon were the same from the base game? Like braviary doesn’t get yawn or slam for example but Komala does….
If the pokemon had their normal moves , michael would have have had 2 blackouts
Not quite sure how I could have handled the back to back Annilhapes with Nemona and Iono if he had proper fighting moves!
This tends to happen in some randomizers. When I played a randomizer of Fire Red, the same thing happened for gym leaders.

i like the layout! also in a lot of nuzlocke rulesets there's something called the shiny clause where you can absolutely use a shiny, even if you've already gotten your area encounter, so lucky boi is perfectly valid :)

Eri was by far the hardest boss I've faced because of that DAMN GHOST MONKEY!!!
If you use your own ghost monkey you can set up on her Toxicroak as it will always go for sucker punches which will fail if you use a set up move ;)

12:20 that’s not against the rules, actually, Shiny Clause is a thing, it allows random shinies to be used in place of normal encounters I believe

Maybe consider banning pseudo-legendaries in future runs? Because running around with a full team of them is pretty much a foregone conclusion and trivializes every encounter.
Especially when your opponents are running things like Charcadets lol

It seems that the randomised Pokemon's retained the original moveset from the base game's Pokémon that is supposed to be here. It kinda removes the point of a randomiser

Coco Path has a 100% catch rate, so that's why. But don't think I used pickleballs on all of them
