- Allen Brickworks were a company based near Shibden Valley in Halifax. They produced glazed bricks that could be used in fireplaces, chimneys, etc as they were designed to not crumble in the heat.
The business closed somewhere from the 1960s to 1980s (unknown), and although an area was cleared, a large number of the buildings remain today. They have become a must visit location for graffiti artists to leave their mark or artwork. Today, it resembles a graffitified version of a zombie horror movie set and known as the graffiti village.
Each year, I head to the brickworks to see what new artwork has appeared. One day, it may well demoliahed tor housing and, although not a current plan, this is likely my last time here, so it's time to film an epic
Happened upon your site a few months ago Matt, thought I’d nip in and take a proper look… I’m not disappointed you do some cracking stuff which has encouraged me to get up off my backside and go visit one or two of the places you vlogged about, Please keep doing what you do so well..😎👍

Always wanted to visit this place, Matt, but was never sure about if it was trespassing or not. Glad you answered that question for us 😊 Defo on our hit list this year now.

Yes, we will get there, but I can't schedule it until Autumn.....I can't wait to go, but we have a jam.packed pre booked Summer . It IS on the list, so do keep your eyes peeled. Cheek!! 😅
I'm not a fan of graffiti tbh. I don't see it as art. It's mostly bubble writing that I can't make out what it says half the time.
Yeah, it's not for everyone 😊
