Oh my goodness I was cringing every time you used metal utensils on metal pan

I reckon if you got 2 of these sauces and added a load of diced carrot, onion, peas, green beans, celery and some stock you could make a massive pot of muligatawny soup

"It's quite watery" he says. Yes, because you didn't drain the liquid from the chicken pan before you added the sauce. That's all the water from the chicken and the oil you cooked it in left.

I must say I’ve never had sultanas in a chip shop curry. School dinner curries on the other hand…

Stonking stuff. I like to use the Yeungs curry sauce. A bit pricey nowadays (used to be £1.25 for 220g) 500g of chicken and a pack of curry sauce. Heaven and some left over for the freezer

Yep chip shop curry it is indeed, My Wife likes curries mild so if using one of them I`ll split it for her and add the spices to mine for a fast, easy and cheap curry. Top notch video Deano, keep er lit my friend...!

same as below comment i would cook some onion and mushgrooms(mushrooms) lol and peppers then add these into the sauce the reason i would cook them before is , because they release a lot of water and would make the sauce watery so cook them separate and add them in later , im going to try this sauce next time , we did buy the asda essential chicken curry and rice and it was ok but just not enough of it , and at that price for the sauce its worth a go , looks nice but needs colour in it yes that will increase the price a bit but 3 mushrooms half a big onion and few slices of peppers or peas i think ti it would be a cracking dish

That essential curry sauce tastes exactly the same as Asda's Katsu curry sauce.
The big difference is the price, it's at least 1/3 the cost.

Hi ya. My stomach can't handle hot or spicy and have to stick to korma which I like so it was nice for me you picked a mild one. It looked very nice and did loads. I live alone so there would be plenty to go in the freezer. Can you tell me where you got your plastic pots please. Would be nice to see you do the tomato pasta sauces if you haven't already done them. Thank you

I find if you put the rice on the bottom it soaks up all the sauce when you reheat it, same for spaghetti and bolognese, try doing it with rice or spaghetti on the top or side by side

Hi ☺️ Deano. Enjoyed watching your chicken mild Curry from essential yellow package. It didn't seem to bad. I like chippy Curry sauce. But don't like seltanas in my Curry sauce. So won't be buying this bottle of Curry. Thanks for Shearing the video. Maria 💗 xx

Looks nice you could add some veg to it if you wanted to. A lot can't afford a better diet. In our home there was no money we were told you eat what you're given or it's bread and butter or you go hungry.

We never went without as kids but even so if we didn’t eat what our mum cooked we’d get no alternative we’d go without. That’s why so many kids are fussy eaters now as the parents keep cooking alternatives if they don’t like the food. So annoying.

It’s a age culture thing. Back in the 70s and 80s everyone used too put sultanas in their curries, I remember my Nan making a curry with sultanas when I was a kid. Don’t forget the Asians put sultanas in their curries.

    • @kevowski

@@matty6848 i am 58 and can clearly remember old skool curries and have eaten more than my fair share of Vesta curries that we always had on our caravanning holidays in Great Yarmouth 🤣
For me it’s just a personal preference that sultanas and apples don’t belong in a curry, it’s a sweetness thing I guess because I don’t like a BIR korma or Pathia ( not tried an authentic one yet tho)
I cook both BIR and more authentic dishes from scratch and share with my family & friends who really enjoy them.
Each to their own, was just adding a bit of humour 😊
