it's really good to see FM synthesized kick tutorial on youtube it would have been nice to some of the processing involved to make it sound specific and just right don't get me wrong i'm happy because this is the second video in which I've seen an FM synthesized kick the first one was a Producer Masterclass tutorial on Computer Music Magazine channel by Current Value and I've been wondering why there aren't more videos on the subject
Why do you use fixed mode with a specific note in mind when you can just leave fixed mode off and play the note you want? Seems a bit counter intuitive
that's the real juice. And it's 100x faster than searching through incredibly big libraries of kicks, only to discover that they sound bad once you tune them to your beat. Sure, just picking a sample-kick sounds like a timesaver.. but if you wanna do it right, it's a rabbit-hole of sound-design.
thank you very much Subalias!!! im starting my creation of own kicks and this is what i need :)
Been watching a lot of Kick drum sound design, no one quite follows logical way of designing the Kick like youve done in this tutorial .
Nice explanation of how to use the instrument rack without getting too specific on all the shit. This is great for playing around in live sessions.
Most excellent, thanks!
This is great. loved it.
you my guy deserve a subscription
