Bought mine new in 1974 on hire purchase in all black Dispatched in London through the cold winter and then a guy jumped the lights, smashed my foot into the frame (luckily I had wellies on! Slid down the Cromwell Road, totalled the exhausts but then fitted a 4 into one. Adored it, and sold it 3 years later part exchanged for a Triumph T140V 750 Bonneville... (more fun on that one!)
