    lol if you look at the things that are being posted now versus 2 years ago, there's a giant difference. oh also, that disc transfer is very cool!

      Haha, people improve and learn by time. I am also surprised by the giant difference people can change in such a short time. Thanks for your reply.

    Insane Robot , Maybe you could make the launcher stronger but overall great robot! Also your intake idea is a great idea!

  • @bertenheimer

    Oh yeah, I recommend that you make the intake faster

  • @plasticlawnchair7197
    @plasticlawnchair7197 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    impressive bot, aside from increasing the power of the launcher, I think you might want to adjust the placement on the priming arms so that the launcher doesn't shoot both disks at the same time but rather shoots them in a more machine gun type of motion. That might help prevent disks from hitting each other which might improve precision. I do VRC so I don't know if that would be possible on IQ though. Just a thought. But overall a really good robot.

    • @PurinChan
      @PurinChan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much! I will keep in mind to make the discs not shoot at the same time while designing future shooters! And yes, it is possible in IQ too :)

    balanced design and shape, decent function! well done :))

  • @DrumrollPlease
    @DrumrollPlease 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This is a rather interesting robot. The magazine and shooter are very well done, but the shooter could be a bit stronger to reach the four-point zone. As for the intake, while it seems to be functioning fine, I find that it works better when you use the chain to pick the disks off the floor with the help of the ramp piece. It's faster and has fewer components compared to this one. But, overall, this is a very cool robot!

    • @PurinChan
      @PurinChan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, the reason I chose to use an intake instead of chains, was because I wanted the intake to be wide for getting discs to prevent continuously aiming for getting discs. However I also believe that by using chains would make the process of intaking faster.
      Thank you for the advice ^^, I would make sure to increase the shooter power in future prototypes!

    Very nice robot! I just don’t understand why the disk needs to flip over when the robot intakes it. It just seem like an unnecessary step that adds even more complexity and failure points.

    • @PurinChan
      @PurinChan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When we made our intake, we thought of two ways to get discs off the floor. One is to not flip the discs by using chains and the ramp piece, but this makes the intake smaller which requires continuously aiming for discs. Then we saw the hero bot "snap shot" design which flips over the disc while intaking. This way we can have a wider intake and decrease aiming time.
      However, I agree that it adds more complexity and it cannot spin fast. Thank you for replying and the advice! I'll make sure that we make the robot better in the next prototype!
