I like the wet color, that’s what I would wear. That’s my style, I’m a flashy 64 yr. old, that’s what I like it makes me feel pretty, I also love a lot of blush. I don’t care what anyone thinks, I wear my makeup for me and no one else.
Another great review Lexi, as always... I really like the colors and packaging of this love letter palette, I think I will get it since I haven't bought any of the other recent Viseart releases. I wore my neutral mattes palette after a long time yesterday, it reminded me how amazing their matte formula is.... now I am also seriously considering the new Grande Pro 1x, it's in my Viseart cart along with this Love letter palette... their Proshop pricing is also another great incentive!
Aloha Lexi! I really liked look 3. I loved the eyes with that soft water paint effect and your skin was so luminous! Very pretty! Also that new Hermès lipstick is so much fun!🥰💄🌈🦋🌺🌺🌺
Hello Lexi, Thank you for the terrific review. I absolutely loved every eye look you did. These soft pretty shadows are oh so flattering. It was a good idea to show us all how different the looks can be using the same shades wet. PS I hope Viseart puts you on their PR list. You deserve it. 🐞 Warm regards from Gail. Oh Lexi, I forgot to mention when I held up my pallete next to my Galaxy Note 8 while you showed your palette, the colours appeared to be exactly the same. Your lighting and colour looked "spot on" in this video.
Beautiful swatches and comparisons, Lexi! I was planning on getting the petit fours eventually but was concerned about how close chocolat and praline might've been to this palette. I agree that viseart has one of my favorite matte shadow formulas of all time. Thank you for your review!
I've read and seen a few really bad reviews for this palette but in particular look 2 & 3 that you created are very elegant and pretty. I love the last two shades! Now if only this palette wouldn't contain so many peachy shades. I got way too many peachy shades in my collection as it is and they don't really look good on me bc my skin is super fair, cool-neutral.
Oh really? I like the palette! But i can see how it wouldn’t suit everyone. If you already have a bunch of peachy shades then you don’t really need this one but i like how neutral these are compared to others i have used in the past.
@@LexiJong IDK I think some YTubers didn't like it bc the colors are kind of subtle but the more I experiment w eyeshadows the more I appreciate the more subtle shades that one can build up bc I'm stating to notice that I like more subtle looks. I might pick this one up especially since you're saying the colors don't pull that orange on your skin tone. (I think I have a similar skin tone.)
@@cs.0903 that is probably it! I like subtle shadows personally and i love how these can go both ways. It can be frustrating to use shadows that look much darker in the pan than on the eye.
Is this the first viseart palette with a design and packaging other than black?? I like, they are very good quality, I only have 1 viseart palette and I love it. I love shimmer shades.
No they have a lot of smaller palettes with different colors on the outside (like the Paris edit) but the etendu line is the first in the US that have a design as well.
The green in the Chantecaille is really more gold with a tint of green in certain lighting. It is meant to be a trichrome shade. Honestly my green shade really doesn’t get much of a green shift for some reason.
Thank you for making this video, Lexi! This is the first review that has piqued my interest in this palette. Just curious--how would you say that shimmery grey shade, Ballad, compares to Enigma in PMG's Decadence palette?
@@LexiJong That is most kind of you, thank you! I recall you said you liked that color best in that Decadence palette--me as well--I'm a sucker for those taupey-gray shimmers. Thanks again!
Lexi! Please what is the very first Sonia G brush you used? Is it the Blender Pro? How does it compare with the Classic Crease? Is it bigger? I got the Classic Crease. Also - What's the point of having a Soft Shader? Deposit color but not as intensely as with the Builder Pro? Thanks!! ❤️
Hi Christina! The very first brush was the Sonia G Blender Pro. It is very very similar to the classic crease but the classic crease is slightly smaller in diameter. They have the same bristle length and shape. The soft shader and builder pro also have similar shapes but the builder pro is a little smaller all around and the dyed goat hair isn't best to use with wet shadows or cream products whereas the soft shader can be. Because the soft shader is a little bigger, you are correct that it will deposit color a little less intensely but it isn't a significant difference because they are both fairly equal with density and firmness. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
@@LexiJong I think I'm gonna pick up the Blender Pro. I like the idea of it being a little larger. I guess eventually I will cave and pick up both sets (Pro & Sky) to have the variety and back-ups. I love Sonia G brushes! Thanks so very much for your advice!
Good morning Lexi. I own a few Viseart pallets and you believe that I never noticed that we can pull of the swatches :((((( my fav for my skin tone is the Chou Chou and I used also with a wet the brush to get more shine but I noticed that this pratice damage a little bit the swatches, what you advise? Thank you. Ida
I love the Chou Chou palette! When you using them wet in the pan, let it dry and use a little tape on top to remove the "hard pan" surface that develops. It should lift off easily. You can also scrape some dry shadow onto the back of your hand or mixing tray and then mix with water or your mixing medium there. I would suggest using just a corner of the shade wet normally but the pans are too small in the Chou Chou for that. Please let me know if this helps!
I haven’t tried all of the ones i picked up yet but i can definitely say i love the small arrowhead. I have had that one for years. I think some of the ones i picked up are going to be loves and others just okay. They have some interesting shapes that i think will be nice.
