Heres the thing though PD: forget about "faking reactions". Its "The Kulture STUDY" not the "PD acts surprised by Kpop videos show". I think a show on a video you have already seen or a song you have already heard would be just fine if you make clear that it is an analysis not a reaction and cover any emotional response in terms of "when I first heard this I felt ...." or "the more i watch this video i see ..." I appreciate that there must be some sort of intellectual rush in being able to put together a detailed, coherent analysis on the fly in the way that you normally do, but it isnt the be all and end all of what viewers are watching for. Its just a thought.

A.C.E has steadily gotten better and better with every comeback. They’re so talented and hard working. They’re probably one of my favorite discoveries I’ve made since kpop became a thing in my life. This come back, tho... their concept photos stepped up the game, they were gorgeous and belong on someone’s wall not in the pages of a photo book and the MV was... I expect a lot from kpop now when it comes to concepts and visuals. But that said. You know Wonho debuted recently, right? He has two MVs out right now...

In Road to kingdom, smaller groups competed for a ticket to participate in the show Kingdom. That's why a.c.e would have been perfect for RTK but can't be on Kingdom.

Yes, A.C.E. are my favorite boys and they proved their name once again:Adventure Calling Emotions. Under cover was a hook for me, then Callin' and Cactus grabbed and kept me in the fandom. And their b-sides and covers made me fall in love with their vocals. A.C.E. are really special and my only favorite group.

One thing you touched on that i am always impressed on with ACE MVs is their production team's ability to reuse spaces and set pieces for maximum efficiency. Every video has this, but you really wouldn't notice it on a first watch, it's not unless you start paying a lot of attention that you realize how much is actually reused, often in really clever ways where they switch out lighting or props to trick you into thinking it's a new set altogether. I started noticing this especially with Take Me Higher, maybe the cleverest low budget MV i've ever seen, but they all have it to some degree. Their production team knows where to spend the bucks (good lighting, good cameras, good editing, good costumes) and knows where they can make it work with less. It's really such a good example of how a smaller company with a smaller budget can still make something really beautiful and compelling and not look cheap. Also this is SOTY. That's all i have to say. Undercover was my #3 last year, and this is my #1 this year (so far).

I've read somewhere that in korea there's a type of goblin in korean folklore that attracts people called 'Gaksi Dokkaebi' which is similar to Gong Yoo's charaacter in the drama Goblin. Hence the connection between 'Goblin' and 'Favourite Boys'. Well it's just my assumption
I feel about it the same way you do. it truly feels like a culmination of all A.C.E's music and I LOVE IT. it's like they ascended to another level with this comeback. another thing I would like to point out is that lots of groups do traditional looks or traditional inspired looks but NOONE has made it worked the way A.C.E has. they didn't just put on modern hanboks and called it a day, they created entire new looks that felt like genuine street fashion, like a new direction Korean fashion could take. their stylists are true visionaries.

I love all the appreciation for the whole artistry of A.C.E! A.C.E themselves, their stylists, their set-designers, the music writers & mixers, the editing staff....they are the definition of quality over quantity! Beat Interactive may not have the budget of SM groups, but dang if they make something amazing anyway! I'm sure by now you've seen Jun & Chan's under-water concept photos. Underwater photography isn't new, but I'm not sure I've seen it to promote a kpop comeback before. And they are particularly gorgeous!!! As a fashion design student myself, I believe true creativity and vision reveals itself when you DON'T have literally all the tools easily at your disposal. You have to GET creative to BE creative, y'know? And you have to be embracing of change, not just casually accepting of it. A.C.E just seems to run head-first in a different direction when a formulaic pattern starts to appear in the industry lol. It was fitting when they covered VIXX's On & On; also a brave and particularly pioneering group. That cover felt like a statement of solidarity from A.C.E.

I'm so happy to hear all the positive things you've said about them, that's why o've grown to adore them so much because of how eclectic their sound can be, but still sounds very ACE . I love the mash of Rock elements but heavy hiphop or trap elements ugh love.
Undercover will always be my favourite comeback, also because of emotional connection. But Favourite Boys is so great. A.C.E don't do mainstream and i wish more people would get to know about them. They really deserve it. And yes, Road to Kingdom would habe give them so much and I wished so much that they would be in the line up.
This is the one reaction I have woken up every morning and checked every night before bed for, the desperation for this reaction was real. I cried a lot because they’ve been working so hard and I’m glad others are seeing that. Thank for this reaction video, it not only gave me my daily dose of A.C.E. and this song but I admire your comments. It actually has been bugging me, how can we give them more exposure? I’ve had opportunities to attend and document Kpop concerts and events. My biggest regret is missing seeing A.C.E. perform live. It would have been an 8 hour bus ride, but worth it! I’ve been a fan since pre-debut when I saw a busking video. I was so excited when they all came back together as a group. I’m interested in learning more about them and their company. The way I know this would be considered one of the best comebacks of the year and the general public would be all over it if a.c.e was a mainstream group.. sadly imo they’re still not getting the recognition they deserve. Yay! I've been waiting for this reaction. I adore the visual juxtaposition of traditional & modern Korean style, the hard rock guitar, the beat that smacks you in the face, the vocals w/ the spooky synth, the choreography... It is everything I never knew I needed!

I love all the appreciation for the whole artistry of A.C.E! A.C.E themselves, their stylists, their set-designers, the music writers & mixers, the editing staff....they are the definition of quality over quantity! Beat Interactive may not have the budget of SM groups, but dang if they make something amazing anyway! I'm sure by now you've seen Jun & Chan's under-water concept photos. Underwater photography isn't new, but I'm not sure I've seen it to promote a kpop comeback before. And they are particularly gorgeous!!!
As a fashion design student myself, I believe true creativity and vision reveals itself when you DON'T have literally all the tools easily at your disposal. You have to GET creative to BE creative, y'know? And you have to be embracing of change, not just casually accepting of it. A.C.E just seems to run head-first in a different direction when a formulaic pattern starts to appear in the industry lol.
It was fitting when they covered VIXX's On & On; also a brave and particularly pioneering group. That cover felt like a statement of solidarity from A.C.E.

Doing an anti mainstream style and owning it. A different genre in the same old stuff going, amazing choreos, breaking gender norms, visuals on point, great vocals and sweet rapline.
I'm so happy to hear all the positive things you've said about them, that's why o've grown to adore them so much because of how eclectic their sound can be, but still sounds very ACE . I love the mash of Rock elements but heavy hiphop or trap elements ugh love.

But Favourite Boys is so great. A.C.E don't do mainstream and i wish more people would get to know about them. They really deserve it.

This is the one reaction I have woken up every morning and checked every night before bed for, the desperation for this reaction was real. My tears as you said “it’s a waste if the entire world doesn’t see it” were real. These boys are fighters, challengers to the social norms. We are listening but we need the world to hear it.
Thank you so much for this. I have been a CHOICE a few months after their debut and after three years, their TH-cam channel now has 1 million subs. I cried a lot because they’ve been working so hard and I’m glad others are seeing that. I hope they get a win soon because after all this time without them gaining popularity that I hope nothing happens to them such as disbandment, but considering I see them gain more fans, I don’t see that!! Please support the boys!!

Ahhgg!! I just accidentally defeated what I was commenting, but here’s another go. First, I AGREE 💯! Thank for this reaction video, it not only gave me my daily dose of A.C.E. and this song but I admire your comments. It actually has been bugging me, how can we give them more exposure? I’ve had opportunities to attend and document Kpop concerts and events. My biggest regret is missing seeing A.C.E. perform live. It would have been an 8 hour bus ride, but worth it! I’ve been a fan since pre-debut when I saw a busking video. I was so excited when they all came back together as a group. I’m interested in learning more about them and their company. If you’ve read this far..thanks for listening to my rant. On my next day off I’m going to use social media to promote A.C.E.

The way I know this would be considered one of the best comebacks of the year and the general public would be all over it if a.c.e was a mainstream group.. sadly imo they’re still not getting the recognition they deserve. But with the level of talent and versatility they continuously present, I have no doubt they’ll eventually get there.
