    Tim looks so happy in this, as much as he's a great guitarist, he seems more bored these days at concerts. Maybe it's just time growing on them as a band. Kind of miss the Muse/Renaissance vibe.

      But he looks unhealthily skinny here you can see his rib cage and his face looks narrow and boney. I think he looks much healthier now as he’s eating more often and is working out as well as laying off smoking and drugs besides weed

    Scott's guitar really needs to be turned up... bullshit, man. Just saw them last night in Pittsburgh and i could barely hear his solos, which are probably my favorite part of the band despite the massive talent they all have

    Let me first start by saying I love these guys, but why the hell did Brandon(old drummer) leave? Part of the reason I loved these guys so much was due to the fact that Brandon was extremely ergonomic with his drum style and could match Scott and Tim's intense energy. The new drummer is just alright. He's trying his best to live up to Brandon's skill which in my opinion is unmatched by most drummers these days. I have a feeling its not because of the style of the new album Muse(which he did drums for) but more so about the commitment towards a fast growing band . What do you think?
    Anyone who hasn't been to Brandon Burkhalter's channel do yourself a favor and go check out his play overs to Whitechapel's "the saw is the law" and many others.

      @WashedUpMedia  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I really have no insight to why he left, or what happened. But, thanks for watching either way! Hope you liked the video.

      Washed Up Media jimmy stephens I have understood why he left the project did not like where leaving, and I think that is obvious since Brandon enjoys playing more "Heavy"

    • @lolh4x
      @lolh4x 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Washed Up Media I heard he left because of creative differences, or something like that. Then the band tried to sue him or some shit because they thought he was intentionally trying to soil the bands reputation and image.

      Basically Brandon just wanted to do blast beats and double bass all the time instead of playing to fit the song and playing with feel and unique rhythmic ideas.
      There was quite the e-fight over it but all the post have been deleted and I guess forgotten about.

    • @Eccentrics

      I don't know how many of you guys realise that Brandon actually recorded the entire second album.

  • @PAAN4musicnerd
    @PAAN4musicnerd 9 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Gonna be honest, I think these guys are more of a studio band

    • @dbgrfdg
      @dbgrfdg 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      ***** I+#d prefer to see them live instead of listening to the album

    • @PAAN4musicnerd
      @PAAN4musicnerd 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ***** A video is usually a good enough indication. I can watch an Ed Sheeran Video or Periphery live and know just from that how great they are, but these guys aren't Satriani. They don't pull the instrumental style off as well live as on their album. That being said, I can still appreciate how difficult the music they're playing is

      Knowing how much difficult and differnent live is and knowing how advanced polyphia are, they did way better than I expected, this is really really good.
      But this music is as you say more studio music still they are able to play excellent live

    • @ToTheWolvesTony

    sound isnt that good live. studio sound is good, tight playing. live...eh...not so impressive.

    • @Tossen98
      @Tossen98 9 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      DDD D You really underestimate how hard it is to play their music. Of course it's easier in a studio, when you can just keep trying until you get the perfect parts you want. Live you only got one take, so there's bound to be mistakes, especially when their music is this advanced.

    • @DD-um4dd
      @DD-um4dd 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. just saying live, not as tight. i'll stick to their studio music.

      maybe its just a bad recording of live performance. like the music, just prefer clean studio sound. anyone actually seen them live?
