Hi Dave. rode on that train when i was a youngster and again about 10 years ago. still the same thrill. Only difference was no water chute boat getting us wet. caroline
This is a very cool video and really good and showing the train, it's such a cool asset at the park and shrouded with heritage and history! I'm currently working at wicksteed on rides and getting to help run the train on some days by being guard is such a cool responsibility and much fun! In fact I was on it the day after you recorded this! 😂
King Arthur, Lady of the Lake and Cheyenne. Worked there late 70's in the holidays. Lived near by. The white building @10 housed the enormous sand filters for the swimming pools and we had to shovel all the sand out. Honestly though, it was the best days. 12 hours shovelling or on the boat house, £28 a week. And then a summer evening watching 20's and peaks behind the golf course. Walk into town for 6-7 pints, then a KFC on the way home when it was KFC and they knew how to cook chips. Then to bed, when sleep was sleep, for a 7 start. You felt like a million quid and could run anyone down. Best days. Now look at me?
